Eagles vs. Seahawks Predictions and Expert Picks for Monday Night Football: Jalen Hurts Casts Shadow Over Week 15 Game

Monday Night Football in Week 15 sees two teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks, looking to snap damaging losing streaks. Both teams cannot really afford another loss for their NFL playoff ambitions, so this game should have plenty of intensity.

In our Week 15 Eagles vs. Seahawks picks and predictions against the spread, our experts examine this game and recommend bets.

Eagles vs. Seahawks Predictions and Expert Picks

Bearman: The Eagles team you saw in Weeks 13-14 is not the same one you saw in the first 12 weeks of the season. There were a few early games they should not have won, but they didn’t come close to playing as badly as they did in “big boy” games vs. the Niners and Cowboys. The defense looks tired and horrible, while the offense couldn’t generate anything last week.

A little nugget a former colleague at ESPN gave me: Underdogs are 6-0 straight up over the last five weeks in MNF games, including two big underdogs last week in the Giants and Titans. That’s tied for the longest streak of dogs winning outright on MNF since the first six weeks of the 1985 season. Fly, Seahawks, fly.

    Pick: Seahawks +4

Rolfe: Entering this game, we have seen both defenses struggle in recent weeks.

The Seahawks have given up an average of 33.3 points per game to the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys in the last three weeks.

The Eagles’ offense should be just as capable of exploiting the Seattle defense in this matchup.

However, the Eagles’ defense has not been much better. A lot has been made of the rest disadvantage for Philadelphia in the past two games, but rest concerns do not explain why the Eagles gave up 34 points to the Bills back in Week 12.

The Seahawks offense should have Geno Smith back, who can take apart a poor Eagles secondary.

If Hurts can suit up, it very much feels like this game is going to come down to the last possession, and if the line was still at four points, I would take the Seahawks against the spread. However, if the line remains at 3 or 3.5, then I am going to just look to take the over.

An intriguing play here would be a single-game teaser taking the Seahawks to +9 and the total down to 41.5. That would give you odds of -110 and provide some insurance on both the spread and total.

Picks: Total over 47.5 (-110 at ESPNBet), 6-point teaser: Seahawks +9 and Over 41.5 (-110 at ESPNBet)
