While the Eagles were officially announced as one of the teams set to play Week 1 in Brazil, their opponent was potentially leaked on Monday. All of that and more in today’s Eagles news!

Did the Cleveland Browns Accidentally Leak Their Opening Game?

In February, the NFL officially announced their first-ever game set to be played in Brazil. While the Eagles were announced as one of the teams scheduled to play Week 1 of the upcoming regular season in Brazil, their opponent was never announced.

That was until Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Maurice Hurst possibly slipped up during a team podcast published on Monday. Hurst mentioned that Cleveland has a game in Brazil next season, which would potentially mean that the Browns would play Philadelphia in Week 1.

NFL Free Agency Best, Worst Contracts: Calvin Ridley, Derrick Henry, and More

While some believed there was a 0.0% chance that the Eagles would sign star running back Saquon Barkley in free agency, Philadelphia managed to get the deal done. Pro Football Network’s Dakota Randall analyzed the first week of free agency and revealed which contracts were the best and worst thus far.

Despite Barkley being one of the top running backs in the NFL, Randall isn’t a fan of the signing at all. Randall believes that running back isn’t a luxury spot worth spending on and that plenty of teams have found success with cheaper players at the position.

Report: Eagles Adjust Haason Reddick’s Contract

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Eagles are pushing back the date of Haason Reddick’s $1 million roster bonus from March 15 to April 1. Considering that the Eagles are already shopping Reddick on the trade market, this is a notable decision.

Although Reddick has publicly stated that he wants to play in Philadelphia, the Eagles likely aren’t going to give him the new contract that he is seeking. After paying Huff in free agency, Philadelphia will likely trade Reddick, and this adjustment in his contract will give them two more weeks to find a deal.
