Jason Kelce had nothing but praise for Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles after the team’s resounding victory in the NFC Championship game. The Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders 55-23 and secured their third Super Bowl appearance in the last eight seasons.

Jason Kelce Reacts To Jalen Hurts’ Epic Locker Room Celebration

The Lincoln Financial Field faithful was abuzz with celebrations after the Eagles secured a statement victory to set up a Super Bowl clash against the Kansas City Chiefs. While room-shaking music and dancing took center stage on the field, Hurts grabbed the attention with an awesome celebration in the locker room.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman offered the quarterback a cigar at his locker, and he gleefully accepted the offer. Hurts lit up the cigar to bring out a funnel of smoke, and as the picture went viral over the internet, Kelce couldn’t resist dropping a compliment.

“This photo is f****** incredible,” he wrote on X.

Kelce’s appreciation of the celebration is a testament to Hurts’ impressive performance. The quarterback became the only second player in postseason history to have three rushing touchdowns in two postseason games. He completed 71.4% of his passes and threw for 246 yards, one touchdown, and three rushing scores.

The 26-year-old received high praise from head coach Nick Sirianni as well, who shut the quarterback’s critics up with a passionate response.

“How about our quarterback? How about our quarterback?” Sirianni said during an interview on the field with Fox Sports’ Terry Bradshaw. “He’s a stud! I knew he was going to play that way! I knew it! Don’t doubt him! All he does is win!”

Hurts finished as the NFL’s fourth-best quarterback by PFN’s QB+ metric, suggesting he earns more criticism than his performance warrants.

“It’s amazing how much doubt there is sometimes, I can’t quite comprehend it. It doesn’t look like people think it should look like. But the guy has been clutch and he’s won a ton of football games,” Sirianni added during the postgame press conference.

Hurts was well supported by Saquon Barkley, who scored three touchdowns and rushed for 118 yards as the Eagles set the record for most points in a Championship game, surpassing the Buffalo Bills’ 51 from 1990.

Kelce showered his former team with high praise after the win, celebrating almost as hard as the Eagles themselves.

“Well that was fun,” Kelce posted. “These dudes are ridiculously good! GO F****** BIRDS!!”

Philadelphia will now take on Kansas City in the Super Bowl on Feb. 9 in New Orleans. While the Chiefs are looking for a historic three-peat, the Eagles are hoping for redemption. They suffered a narrow three-point defeat to the Chiefs to end the 2022 season and are in search of their second Super Bowl title.
