Saquon Barkley Drops Savage Lullaby on Giants, Eagles Fans Go Wild

Eagles fans are officially crowning Barkley “savage,” and it’s all because of his latest viral video trolling the New York Giants. Barkley has found a new way to grab attention — by taking aim at his former team.

In an ad that left fans in stitches, Barkley riffed on Jon Mara’s “I’m gonna have trouble sleeping” comment, delivering a savage lullaby to Giants fans:

“I heard some of y’all had trouble sleeping, so I wrote a lullaby. Rockabye baby awake in your bed as the thought of 2000s swirls in your head. It sure is tough to lose sleep over football, not for me though, good night to you all… Still can’t sleep? Try counting sheep.”

Fans wasted no time reacting. One declared, “26 is an absolute savage for this.”

Others had their own hilarious takes: “AD of the year.”

A third commented, “The disrespect is real.”

Some couldn’t help but marvel at the level of shade: “This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”

And, of course, Philly fans brought their own unique touch: “true Philadelphian pettiness… he really does belong on the birds 🦅.”

Barkley’s trolling is sending shockwaves across NFL X, with fans from both sides chiming in. But now the million-dollar question remains: Will Barkley take the field against the Giants this Sunday?

Will Barkley Play Against The Giants This Sunday?

Barkley won’t be playing in the Eagles’ season finale against the Giants on Jan. 5. Coach Nick Sirianni broke the news, saying some key players will get the rest they deserve, and Barkley’s one of them.

“We’re gonna rest some guys,” Sirianni casually dropped. “He’ll probably be somebody that rests.”

But before fans go into full meltdown mode, Barkley’s on board with it. In an ESPN chat, he said, “[Sirianni] asked me if I wanted to play, if I wanted to go for it. I said, ‘On Sunday, I probably didn’t care too much for it. When I slept on it, it was an opportunity to implant my name in football history and I may never get an opportunity like that again. So, I’m down. But at the end of the day, I don’t care for putting the team at risk.’”

So, no Barkley this Sunday, but don’t sweat it — he’s looking out for the team.
