The Philadelphia Eagles announced several promotions and job title changes on Thursday, including a new role for Dom "Big Dom" DiSandro.

After a disappointing end to last season, the Philadelphia Eagles made drastic changes to the coaching staff and roster. Yet, the franchise isn’t done making moves.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is often praised for his ability to rebuild Philadelphia’s front office. Roseman has watched several of his top executives depart in recent years, but he continues to surround himself with a talented staff.

Eagles Announce Multiple Changes Including a New Title for Dom ‘Big Dom’ DiSandro

The Eagles officially announced several promotions, job title changes, and hirings on Thursday, as Roseman continues to restructure Philadelphia’s front office and maintain one of the strongest foundations in the NFL.

Although the Eagles made several notable changes, the most noteworthy title change belongs to the infamous Dom “Big Dom” DiSandro. He built himself quite a reputation following his controversial sideline interaction with the San Francisco 49ers last season.

While DiSandro was already regarded as Philadelphia’s senior advisor to the general manager and chief security officer, he has received a third title for the Eagles. DiSandro has added the title of gameday coaching operations, which was likely added to allow him on the sidelines and avoid any future issues for interactions during the game.

While DiSandro received most of the attention, Philadelphia made several notable changes, including another promotion for Ameena Soliman, who has worked her way up the ranks for the Eagles since arriving as a player personnel intern in 2019. Soliman is now Philadelphia’s director of football operations and a pro scout.

Adam Berry, brother of Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry, also received a promotion. Berry is now the vice president of football operations and strategy and will likely be a candidate for general manager vacancies around the NFL shortly.

Jeff Scott and Brandon Hunt also received promotions, as both of them are widely viewed as potential general manager candidates in 2025 and beyond. Hunt interviewed with the New England Patriots for a job opening earlier this offseason.

Two former Eagles players also received new titles, continuing to work for the franchise following their retirement. Connor Barwin is now Philadelphia’s head of football development and strategy, and Matt Leo is now the team’s player development assistant.

One of the new hires to watch for is scouting assistant Duke Tobin, Jr. the son of Cincinnati Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin. Given Philadelphia’s history of developing front-office talent, it’s an ideal location for someone to start their career.

Why Did the Eagles Change Dom ‘Big Dom’ DiSandro’s Title?

On Dec. 3, 2023, the Eagles hosted the Niners in what was supposed to be an epic clash between two of the best teams in the NFC. Yet, San Francisco dominated the game, and the most notable performance from the Eagles belonged to DiSandro.

49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw got into it with DiSandro on Philadelphia’s sideline and both were ejected from the game. Following the heated exchange, DiSandro was eventually suspended by the NFL and banned from the sidelines for the remainder of the regular season.

Philadelphia spiraled out of control following DiSandro’s suspension, finishing 1-4 in the games he didn’t attend on the sidelines. One of the main questions surrounding DiSandro’s involvement in the altercation was why he was even on the field in the first place.

This is likely why the Eagles decided to add another title to DiSandro’s resume in 2024. The fan favorite will now carry three titles heading into the upcoming season, and his flashy new title will certainly allow him to remain on the sideline for Philadelphia.
