Week 16 Dynasty Rankings: Updated Devy and Superflex formats

If you already find yourself enamored with the deep-dive of dynasty fantasy football, joining a Devy league is the natural progression for fantasy fanatics. Player values fluctuate as the college football weeks fly by, making our updated Week 16 1QB and Superflex Devy rankings for dynasty leagues the most comprehensive set of rankings to date.

What’s the difference between Devy and dynasty rankings?

I know some of you ask, “What is Devy fantasy football?” and how does it differ from regular dynasty rankings? Devy is a niche dynasty fantasy football game that incorporates the drafting of current college football prospects even before entering their names into the NFL Draft. Current college football players and incoming freshmen are typically eligible to be drafted in Devy drafts. However, each league is slightly different, and you could stumble across some Devy rankings with top high-school prospects included.

As you can see in our updated dynasty rankings table going into Week 16, we offer both 1QB and Superflex Devy dynasty rankings for an easier understanding of each player’s value. Even though 1QB is the more traditional form of fantasy football, our updated Devy rankings are also useful in the ever-growing Superflex format. With the ability to choose between starting a quarterback or a skill-position player, quarterbacks are often valued much higher in our Superflex rankings.

    Week 15 Devy Wrap-Up

Before we get to the highly-anticipated slate of conference championships in Week 16, let’s take a look at the top Devy performances from Week 15. Our Week 16 dynasty rankings take both recent production and long-term outlook into account.

Kyle Pitts sits, UNC’s running backs shine in Week 15

The biggest storyline of Week 15 was Florida’s decision to sit superstar tight end, Kyle Pitts. Instead of playing LSU at full-strength, Gators head coach Dan Mullen seemingly chose to rest Pitts for the SEC Championship game. With Florida losing 37-34 to a struggling LSU, that decision ultimately backfired in their faces. Florida still has an outside shot at a College Football Playoff spot if they can upset top-ranked Alabama this weekend. The SEC Championship Game, however, isn’t necessarily a win-and-in situation for the Gators.

As far as on-field play, there were plenty of options to choose from. No matter where we end, we must begin with the UNC backfield. North Carolina’s running back duo of Javonte Williams and Michael Carter combined for 544 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Miami’s defense couldn’t stop either player on the ground, and it’s easy to understand why both running backs are rising up our updated Week 16 1QB and Superflex Devy rankings for dynasty leagues.

    Devonta Smith: 2020 Heisman frontrunner?

I know we talk about him every week, but how can we not mention Alabama wide receiver Devonta Smith? Even on a day when he finished with modest receiving numbers, the potential Heisman Trophy frontrunner finds a way to make an impact. Smith finished with only 22 receiving yards in Week 15, but his sensational 84-yard punt return in the first quarter gave Alabama a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

With Florida quarterback Kyle Trask throwing two interceptions in their loss to LSU, the 2020 Heisman Trophy race is wide open. Another outstanding performance for Smith on Saturday could wrap the award up. Considering a wide receiver hasn’t won the award since Desmond Howard back in 1991, that would be a pretty substantial upset. But if 2020 has taught us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected.

Week 16 Updated Dynasty Devy & Superflex Fantasy Football Rankings: Weekend Watchlist

The greatest day of the year is almost upon us. No, not Christmas or New Years. The holiday season pales in comparison to the CFB Conference Championship weekend. With regular-season matchups also on the schedule, this year’s Conference Championship college football schedule is even busier than usual.

Pac 12 Championship takes center stage Friday night

The action begins on Friday night with the Pac-12 Championship Game. With Washington unable to field a team, the Oregon Ducks will take their place against the USC Trojans. USC’s quarterback Kedon Slovis, one of the top quarterbacks in all of college football, is an intriguing prospect for Devy scouts. He has a handful of impactful weapons around him, including underrated wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. One of the best route runners in CFB, St. Brown projects as a high-end NFL prospect.

Week 16 Updated Dynasty Devy Rankings: Saturday’s schedule is full of future superstars

Saturday’s schedule features ranked matchups in every timeslot of the day. At noon, the Big Ten Championship Game (#14 Northwestern vs. #4 Ohio State) and the Big 12 Championship Game (#10 Oklahoma vs. #6 Iowa State) both feature a massive amount of Devy talent.

Ohio State QB Justin Fields is pretty well known, but don’t overlook his tremendous pass-catchers. Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson make up one of the best wide receiver duos in college football. Over in the Big 12, Iowa State’s Breece Hall is one of the top Devy running back prospects in the country. Even though he is not eligible until the 2022 NFL Draft, Hall is routinely drafted early in Devy drafts. In addition, Oklahoma’s offense features a handful of Devy prospects as well, including Spencer Rattler, Marvin Mims, and Theo Wease.

A standout performance in these big Week 16 games could truly boost these players’ dynasty rankings.

ACC Championship features a much-anticipated rematch

The day’s top game occurs at 4:00 PM Eastern when #3 Clemson and #2 Notre Dame have their much-anticipated rematch. In their first matchup back in November, Notre Dame won a 47-40 double-overtime thriller over Clemson. With Trevor Lawrence and several key defensive players absent from that game, Clemson will be looking for revenge with a CFP appearance on the line.

Alabama looks to secure CFP bid with a win in SEC Championship

The nightcap of Conference Championship weekend takes place in the SEC. The showdown between Alabama and Florida lost a little luster after the Gators loss last weekend, but not enough to drop this game down the pecking order of importance. Florida’s offensive nucleus of Kyle Trask, Kadarius Toney, and Kyle Pitts, will try to keep pace with a loaded Alabama offense.

Devonta Smith, Najee Harris, and Mac Jones lead the Crimson Tide offense, but the options don’t stop there. Brian Robinson Jr., John Metchie III, and Slade Bolden are also capable of making big plays for Alabama. Both teams have multiple players featured in our Week 16 Devy rankings for dynasty leagues.
