2021 Dynasty Fantasy Football Mock Draft | Round 2
In a 10-team format, which players make up Round 2 of this 2021 Four Round Dynasty Fantasy Football Mock Draft?
11) Justin Jefferson (WR5 – Minnesota Vikings)
As a rookie, Justin Jefferson established himself as of the best deep threats in the NFL. The former LSU standout finished the 2020 season with 1,400 receiving yards — a total that set rookie records in both the Super Bowl era and Vikings’ franchise history.
Jefferson surpassed both Anquan Boldin (1,377 yards) and Hall of Famer Randy Moss’ Vikings’ records (1,313 yards) with a 133-yard performance in Week 17. He also tied Odell Beckham Jr.’s Super Bowl-era record of seven games with 100+ receiving yards by a rookie.
Jefferson ended the season as the WR6 in PPR formats with 274.2 points and averaged 17.1 ppg. He is a locked-in WR1 for the foreseeable future in Minnesota.
12) Stefon Diggs (WR6 – Buffalo Bills)
Remember when people thought that Stefon Diggs would fall off a cliff in 2021 after leaving Minnesota for the untamed wild that is Bills Mafia?
So how did that go again? Well, Diggs had 265.1 fantasy points in 16 games and was the highest-targeted wide receiver in the NFL with 166 targets. He had 127 receptions for 1,535 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The Bills are no longer a run-based offense, and at the center of it is the best friendship in the NFL between Diggs and Josh Allen. In this 2021 dynasty mock draft, I love this selection.
13) Cam Akers (RB7 – Los Angeles Rams)
After a mind-numbing three-way split for carries in 2020, Cam Akers appears to have the backfield to himself in 2021. While Sean McVay stated that he views Akers as an “every-down back,” the process started last season.
Akers took control over the Rams’ backfield starting in Week 13 with 21.5 carries and 2.8 targets per game while playing over 60% of the snaps in his last four regular-season games. This included his blowup Week 14 game vs. New England, where he rushed for 171 yards. All of the skills are there for him to succeed, and now that defenses have to respect Matthew Stafford, Akers could be in line for a phenomenal few seasons.
14) Nick Chubb (RB8 – Cleveland Browns)
Although he played in just 12 games last season, Nick Chubb remained one of the best pure rushers in the NFL. Chubb had 207.7 PPR points (17.3 ppg) with 1,067 rushing yards and 12 TDs. But did you know he was not even the highest-scoring RB on his team? That was Kareem Hunt with 218.5, although he was quite far behind in per game average with 13.7.
But this is also the issue for Chubb as he shares a backfield with an RB who would start for nearly every other team in the NFL. Together, they are the best duo in football, but it only hurts each other’s upside for fantasy. Nevertheless, if you tell me that a “reduced upside” while missing four games is still an RB1, sign me up. It’s hard to have a better start to a 2021 dynasty mock draft than Hill and Chubb.
15) D’Andre Swift (RB9 – Detroit Lions)
When the Lions finally handed over the backfield to D’Andre Swift, he showed why he was one of the class’s best backs. The Georgia Bulldog played in 13 games (four starts) and rushed 114 times for 521 yards and 8 touchdowns. Additionally, he caught 46 passes for 357 yards and 2 scores. Swift recorded double-digit fantasy point games in 10 of his 13 games, including six above 15 PPR points.
With the addition of Anthony Lynn, whose offenses heavily target the RB, I expect to see Swift cement himself in the RB1 conversation. Although the Lions are in a rebuild, Swift is the focal point of the offense and will be moving forward.
16) George Kittle (TE1 – San Francisco 49ers)
I will admit I was surprised by this one, but I can also understand it simultaneously. Travis Kelce is the TE1 in fantasy, but he is also 31 years old. With dynasty being a long-term investment, you have to factor age into decisions. Kittle is an incredible tight end, and going away, he is the TE2 in dynasty. He and Kelce are in a tier of their own.
Injuries marred Kittle’s 2020 season, but when on the field, he shows how explosive he can be for the 49ers. He hauled in 48 of his 63 targets for 634 yards and 2 touchdowns while averaging the third-highest ppg amongst tight ends (15.6).
If we remember, Kittle had 1,053 yards in 2019 after setting an NFL record 1,377 receiving yards the year prior. A record that now belongs to Kelce. You cannot go wrong either way with Kelce or Kittle in your 2021 dynasty mock drafts.
17) Ezekiel Elliott (RB10 – Dallas Cowboys)
At this point, Ezekiel Elliott might be the best value in 2021 dynasty mock drafts. He ended the season as the RB9 with over 1,300 yards and 8 touchdowns. Yet, everyone seems to be down on him. Have we forgotten what he did at the beginning of the season when Dak Prescott was healthy?
From Weeks 1 to 5, Elliott was the RB3 in PPR, averaging 22.3 PPR points per game. He rushed 89 times for 364 yards while scoring 5 rushing touchdowns. Elliott added 24 receptions on 32 targets, 173 yards, and 1 more score.
All that is remembered is how the rest of the season went where he was the RB24 and saw his ppg fall by 50%. Prescott is healthy, and the Cowboys will be back to where they were last season. In truth, Elliott is a top-five RB masquerading as a middling second-round pick in 2021 dynasty mock drafts.
18) Travis Kelce (TE2 – Kansas City Chiefs)
After a long wait, I am back on the clock and am taking the positional advantage with Travis Kelce. He is by far and away the No. 1 tight end in fantasy. He averaged 20.9 PPR points per game, saw 145 targets, had 1,416 receiving yards, and caught 11 touchdowns in 2020.
In fact, he is practically a WR1 and could be a back-end first-round pick. In 2020, Kelce would have been the RB4 or the WR4 in scoring (312.8). Thus, if he is on the board at the turn, you take him. He is one of the top fantasy players for 2021 and one who will anchor my dynasty team in 2021.
19) J.K. Dobbins (RB11 – Baltimore Ravens)
J.K. Dobbins averaged 17 fantasy points over his final six games and emerged as the fantasy back to own in Baltimore to close the 2020 season. Rushing for 495 yards with 7 touchdowns, he was the RB10 to close out the season after taking over the backfield.
With Mark Ingram gone and Baltimore not bringing in any competition for touches, Dobbins will continue this workhorse role on a Ravens’ offense that has led the NFL in rushing attempts for the past four seasons.
20) Calvin Ridley (WR7 – Atlanta Falcons)
I am not sure people appreciate how special Calvin Ridley is. He is not just a wingman to Julio Jones. In the 36 games where they have shared the field, Ridley averaged 6.6 targets, 4.4 receptions for 61.25 yards, and 0.6 touchdowns per game. On a 16-game average, that is 71 receptions on 106 targets for 980 yards and 10 scores.
When on his own, Ridley’s 16-game average is 116 receptions on 178 targets for 1,712 yards and 6 touchdowns. Last season, in the seven games without Jones in the lineup, Ridley was on pace for 329 PPR points and 1,749 yards. He averaged 20.56 PPR points, 7.14 receptions, 109.9 yards on 11.29 targets in those contests. He was and continues to be a WR1 for dynasty.

24) Austin Ekeler (RB13 – Los Angeles Chargers)
25) Michael Thomas (WR10 – New Orleans Saints)
26) Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB14 – Kansas City Chiefs)

28) Antonio Gibson (RB16 – Washington Football Team)
29) Patrick Mahomes (QB1 – Kansas City Chiefs)
30) Miles Sanders (RB17 – Philadelphia Eagles)
Round 4

32) Darren Waller (TE3 – Las Vegas Raiders)
