Drake Maye was a highly coveted quarterback prospect out of the University of North Carolina. Ultimately, he was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and ultimately named the starter in Week 6 of the season. The third overall pick impressed in college logging over 8,000 passing yards, 1,200 rushing yards, and a combined 79 touchdowns in two seasons as the Tar Heels’ starter.
Now, with the bright lights of the NFL shining on him, every aspect of his life will be meticulously analyzed. And while Maye might be a bit timid, he has never been one to shy away from expressing his feelings towards his long-time girlfriend, Ann Michael Hudson.
Meet Drake Maye’s Partner, Ann Michael Hudson
According to multiple sources, including The U.S. Sun, the 21-year-old Maye has been with his girlfriend, Ann Michael Hudson, since the two were enrolled at William A. Hough High School in North Carolina together. The pair have been an item for over eight years now.
Hudson probably can’t match Maye’s athleticism, but her LinkedIn page is a testament to the fact that she’s also been hard at work at UNC. She’s studying to obtain her bachelor’s in business administration and also double minoring in entrepreneurship and conflict management.

Hudson has accumulated impressive experience during her time on campus. She interned as a strategy consultant for Piedmont Pennies, a North Carolina-based snack foods startup. She also serves as the vice president of finance for her sorority, Kappa Delta.
Hudson shared on her page just a few months ago that she’d recently accepted the opportunity to join Deloitte Consulting’s upcoming summer scholar program.
It often seems like successful people are drawn to one another. That in mind, it’s not all too surprising that Hudson and Maye wound up together.
A Look at Maye’s Relationship Timeline
As noted, Maye and Hudson have been together since the former was quarterbacking for the Hough Huskies in high school. Hudson supported Maye on Friday nights then and had to pivot her support to Saturday afternoons when he started playing ball for the Tar Heels.
However, Maye made the “official” announcement that he was in a relationship on Instagram back in 2020.

The reveal was made with a cuddly New Year’s post. “Bringing in ‘20 with a 10,” Maye wrote on Jan. 1. He also has a Highlight on the social media platform featuring photos of himself and Hudson.
Since then, the two have been quite open about their relationship on social media.
She wrote a congratulatory post to Maye on Instagram shortly after he declared for the NFL Draft.
“Loved cheering you on every Saturday. Guess it will be Sundays now. So proud of you, I love you,” Hudson wrote in the caption of her post.
Football has been a part of Hudson’s life for a while as her father played football for Wofford College and her younger brother Tad played quarterback for the UNC Tar Heels. Tad ended up being teammates with Maye, serving as one of his backup quarterbacks on the team during the 2023 season.
