Fantasy Injury Update: Drake London, Tee Higgins, and Curtis Samuel Impacting Week 10 Rankings

Fantasy managers must keep up with the multitude of WR injuries in Week 10. What is the latest on Drake London, Tee Higgins, and Curtis Samuel?

It has been a roller coaster ride with some fantasy football WRs this year, both with their performance and also with their health. With four teams on a bye this week, it is more important than ever to be up to date with injury news so you can make a quick pivot to your starting lineup if needed. What are the injury updates for Drake London, Tee Higgins, and Curtis Samuel heading into Week 10?

Latest News and Injury Updates Impacting Fantasy

    Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Falcons WR1 Drake London was held out of the Week 9 game against Minnesota due to a groin injury he sustained in the Week 8 game vs. the Titans. Leading up to Week 9, he missed practice all week, so seeing him return to practice — which he did on Wednesday — is good news for fantasy managers.

London was limited today, and head coach Arthur Smith told the media that he looked to be trending in the right direction. In a traditionally run offense, I would say that Kyle Pitts would see an uptick in targets if London misses the game, but he only garnered five last week against Minnesota. We might be surprised with more Jonnu Smith action, courtesy of Arthur Smith.

Editor’s Note (Nov. 9, 4:30 p.m. ET): London was upgraded to a full participant on Thursday.

    Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Higgins was listed as limited in practice on Wednesday due to his hamstring. He hurt it in practice and was seen moving slowly in the locker room. His status is up in the air for the Week 10 matchup against Houston. Higgins had a great game against Buffalo last week, catching eight passes for 110 yards.

If Higgins cannot play on Sunday, typically, the Bengals would lean on Ja’Marr Chase even more than usual, but Chase missed Wednesday’s practice, dealing with his back issue.

This would open up potential targets for Tyler Boyd and even TE Irv Smith Jr., who has seen four targets in the last two games. Joe Mixon could also see more work, but it can be assumed that the Bengals clearly want at least one of their top two WRs playing in Week 10.

Editor’s note: Higgins has been ruled OUT for Week 10.

    Curtis Samuel, WR, Washington Commanders

Commanders WR Curtis Samuel hurt his toe in the Week 8 game against the Philadelphia Eagles and has been dealing with it ever since. He was held out of last Sunday’s game against New England, and his status for the Week 10 matchup against Seattle is uncertain.

Samuel did return to a limited practice on Wednesday, which is good news, but we will need to see what happens the rest of the week. Look to Jahan Dotson to be the next man up if Samuel misses. Dotson has had two back-to-back top-10 WR finishes, and he finally looks to be showcasing the talent we all knew was there.

Editor’s note: Samuel was limited in practice on Thursday.
