D’Onta Foreman has taken full advantage of his opportunity as the Chicago Bears‘ RB1 today, but he appeared to suffer an injury in the fourth quarter. What happened to Foreman against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7, and what is his current injury status?
D’Onta Foreman Injury Update
Even with Division II rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent making his first NFL start, the Bears are currently holding a fourth-quarter lead over the Raiders. Foreman has been at the center of Chicago’s offensive production, rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns while adding another score in the passing game.
Unfortunately, Foreman appeared to get shaken up after a 12-yard run. He may have landed on his hip after completing the play.

Foreman was able to leave the field under his own power, but trainers were alongside him. He’s now being evaluated in the medical tent on the Bears’ sideline.
Foreman, 27, inked a one-year, $2 million deal with Chicago this offseason but had been all but eliminated from the club’s offense. He fell behind Khalil Herbert and Johnson on the club’s RB depth chart and was a healthy scratch from Weeks 2 through 5.
However, Herbert is now on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain, while Roschon Johnson has missed two games with a concussion. Foreman took 15 carries for 65 yards as the Bears’ starter last week.
Fantasy Fallout From Foreman’s Injury
Foreman was leading Chicago’s productive backfield against the Raiders, with Herbert and Johnson sidelined for a second consecutive week.
Travis Homer and Darrynton Evans are the next men up for this backfield and could make for interesting Flex options next week against the Chargers on Sunday night, but Johnson might be back by that time.
Johnson is a savvy add if he is available. His role was on the rise prior to suffering the concussion, so if he can navigate protocol over the next week, he could well return to the lead role in a plus-matchup.
