Donna Kelce has achieved celebrity status as the mother of two of the best-known NFL players, Jason and Travis Kelce. The football world has gotten to know Donna due to her virality. As she has become a more well-known personality, more attention has been given to her personal life.
With her son Travis now dating one of the most famous superstars on the planet, Taylor Swift, the spotlight on Donna Kelce has become even more intense. And because of this attention, people have now started to wonder if she is still married to Jason and Travis’ father. Let’s take a look at Donna Kelce’s relationship status.
Is Donna Kelce Married?
Donna is currently divorced, having separated from her ex-husband of 25 years, Ed Kelce. She has not remarried and has not been a part of any relationships made public.
Donna and Ed Kelce’s marriage ended around 12 years ago, but the pair remain friends.
Speaking about how they met on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast, both Donna and Ed told their sons that Donna was meant to go on a date with a different man the night they met but instead stayed, and they talked to each other all night.
On the podcast that premiered before the Super Bowl in which both Kelce brothers matched up, Donna said that she met Ed in Fagan’s Bar in Cleveland in the ’70s.
“I was supposed to go out with a guy that night; we were supposed to go to a play, and I never made it. Your Dad and I talked forever.” On the same podcast, the Kelce brothers also spoke to their dad, Ed, who recited the same story.

Speaking about their divorce, Donna said, “We are friends to this day … We get along great; just sometimes, people move apart, that’s all.”
During Jason’s documentary, “Kelce,” both Donna and Ed spoke about how they stayed together through their sons’ teenage years for the good of the family. Ed said in the documentary, “If we had split as we probably both would have preferred, that would have been a nightmare with the logistics, getting kids where they had to be and providing all the support.”
Donna Kelce and Celebrity Status
Often appearing on broadcasts while attending her sons’ games, Donna has claimed something of a celebrity status. That has done nothing but grow since Taylor Swift was introduced into the equation.
Her sons are now two of the biggest names in the NFL and even host their own podcast. Travis is now a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs, while Jason won one Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2018.
The pair faced off in Super Bowl LVII in 2023, which became known as the “Kelce Bowl” — the first Super Bowl to see two brothers compete against each other. Travis and the Chiefs ultimately come out on top.
Donna is often spotted at her son’s games and famously wore a custom-made split jersey when attending Super Bowl LVII. Donna also went viral in 2022 when she attended both her son’s NFL Playoff games on the same day.
She was in Tampa Bay to see Jason’s Eagles lose in an NFC Wild Card Game to the Buccaneers before flying to Kansas City to catch Travis and the Chiefs beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

There was even a petition prior to the Super Bowl for Donna to do the coin flip before kickoff.
As Travis’ relationship with Swift has become more and more popular, Donna has been a part of a number of high-profile interviews to get her opinion on the couple. Her positivity and support of their relationship seem to have blasted her into another stratosphere of popularity.
Donna told Extra, “I’ll tell you, it’s just … they’re making their own story, and I don’t even have to say anything; they’re just doing it all themselves.”
How does Donna feel about this newfound stardom? Well, she spoke specifically about it with Today.
“Every week it’s like something new, like really? It truly feels like I’m in some kind of an alternate universe,” Kelce said on TODAY in an appearance on Oct. 6. “It’s just really, really strange, but it’s fun. It’s a great ride.”
