Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane didn’t hold back when responding to Tyreek Hill’s criticism of the team’s roster.
During an appearance on the “Glory Daze Podcast” with Texas A&M legend Johnny Manziel, Achane addressed Hill’s viral comments that followed Miami’s disappointing 8-9 season. Hill, a six-time Pro Bowler and one of the league’s most dynamic wide receivers, voiced his frustration after missing the playoffs for the first time in his nine-year career.

De’Von Achane’s 9-Word Response to Tyreek Hill
“What y’all had heard at the end of the season was frustration,” Hill said. “I’ve been winning my whole life, bruh. Y’all don’t understand, I bust my ass every day. I deserve to feel like that; I deserve to have some kind of opinion. Y’all just want me to say, ‘Oh well, get ’em next year?’ Nah, f*** that.”
Hill didn’t stop there.
“We’ve got to come back. We got to put some pressure on motherf******. Y’all got to fix this s***, come on. Add some motherf***** dogs in this b****. I compete, I love to compete, bruh,” he said.
His remarks were similar to those from former Dolphins safety DeShon Elliott, who described the 2023 squad as “soft as f***” after his departure from the team.
Achane had a different take.
“We got a lot of DOGS on our roster,” Achane said — a nine-word statement that gained traction online. Those comments didn’t go unnoticed. One Dolphins content creator took to social media to challenge Hill’s claim, saying the receiver “needed to look up the term ‘dog’ because he’ll find out he’s not one.”

Despite Hill’s strong words, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, attempted to downplay any speculation that the star receiver wanted out of Miami. Four days after Hill’s postgame outburst, Rosenhaus joined “The Pat McAfee Show” and reassured fans that Hill remained committed to the Dolphins.
“I think at the end of the day, he’s committed to this Dolphin football team. He had an excellent meeting with Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel,” Rosenhaus said. “I believe that Tyreek is a great asset to the Dolphins … They have many more worries. Tyreek is not one of them.”
“Tyreek is very passionate. Anyone I’ve ever represented who was great was passionate. They cared. What you see with Tyreek is very genuine. He wants to win. It’s not good enough for him not to make the playoffs. He’s very passionate.”
Next season could be the fourth season that Hill will be in Miami. If anything is for certain, Hill will do everything in his power to ensure he doesn’t sit out two years from the NFL postseason.
