Fans Aren’t Pleased With DK Metcalf’s Viral Headbutt Against Tyrique Stevenson

During the second quarter of Thursday Night Football, Metcalf and Stevenson were involved in an altercation. After a few words were exchanged, pushing and shoving started between them, led primarily by the WR.

As the teammates from both sides came to resolve the situation, Metcalf headbutted Stevenson and was flagged immediately. A clip of this entire interaction was posted on X (formerly Twitter) and the fans weren’t pleased with the two-time Pro Bowl WR.

“What a selfish player. Should be cut immediately,” responded one fan.

“Dk a crash out,” tweeted a fan.

“Smacked in the helmet 2 times then head-butted him then smacked Walker in the face yet somehow doesn’t get ejected what am I missing here?” another fan added.

“Guy needs to lay off the gear,” one fan replied.

“Dk always doing some dumb s**t,” added another fan.

“DK need to go to anger management,” tweeted one user.

Metcalf Isn’t Bothered by His Actions on the Field

Many fans and pundits argued that the 27-year-old should’ve been ejected from the game.

After the 6-3 win, Metcalf was interviewed in the locker room and didn’t pay much attention to the hoopla around his headbutt.

“It’s football, it’s a physical sport, some chippiness is gonna happen, especially when I’m out there,” said Metcalf regarding the incident. The WR was inquired about the coach’s reaction to the two personal fouls as well.

“I’m a grown man,” he responded. “My emotions are in check. Like I said, it’s a physical game out there. Especially when I’m out there, I’m gonna test the DB.”
