Did Micah Parsons Threaten To Leave Dallas? Viral Quote Left NFL Fans Wondering

Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has become a hot commodity. His head coaching buzz has led to an interesting Micah Parsons quote.

The 2023 NFL regular season has come to a close, and it’s time for the playoffs. The Dallas Cowboys are one of the teams in action, fighting for a chance at a Super Bowl.

However, not every team is in the playoffs, and many are even looking for a new head coach. Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has been a popular name, potentially on a path to becoming a head coach once again. This news has led to a quote from superstar defender Micah Parsons, leaving fans concerned. What did he say?

    Micah Parsons’ Dan Quinn Quote

In 2023, the Cowboys had the fifth-best defense in total defense, according to FOX Sports. With that, they allowed just 299.7 yards per game and 36 touchdowns on the season. Quinn was a big reason why, having been with the team since 2021 after being the Atlanta Falcons head coach from 2015 to 2020.

Since the regular season ended, multiple teams have requested to interview Quinn. Those teams include the Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, Washington Commanders, Seattle Seahawks, and Los Angeles Chargers.

The Seahawks, who recently let go of longtime head coach Pete Carroll, are expected to contend heavily for Quinn’s services. He once served as the Seahawks’ defensive coordinator in 2013 and 2014. He was also with the Seahawks in 2009 and 2010 as assistant head coach and defensive line coach.

With all of the buzz around Quinn’s head coaching interest, Parsons was asked about it potentially being his last run with Quinn. “It’s the nature of the business,” said Parsons. “It could possibly be my last ride with Q. And if it is, we’re gonna make sure it’s a damn good one.”

Parsons also added that he might follow Quinn in the future. “Dan is my guy. And if he does leave, it’s always love. He might take me with him; you never know,” said Parsons. Parsons has been with the Cowboys since 2021, like Quinn, after being taken with the 12th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In his career, Parsons has 213 tackles, 40.5 sacks, eight pass deflections, seven forced fumbles, and one touchdown. He’s been named a Pro Bowler three times, an All-Pro three times (two-time first team, one-time second team), and was the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021
