Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New Orleans Saints Top TNF DFS Picks on DraftKings
Alvin Kamara, RB, New Orleans Saints ($15,600) – Captain
The New Orleans Saints backfield could be pretty crowded here in the very near future. RB Kendre Miller has been seeing touches over the last four games, and RB Jamaal Williams could return from the injured reserve this week.
However, until we start seeing RB Alvin Kamara lose a significant amount of work to either of these players, then he feels like a quality play in this contest. Kamara is averaging a healthy 25 touches per game since returning from suspension.
Since DraftKings is a full-PPR contest, his 23 receptions over the last three games give him a high floor, worthy of your captain spot in this showdown format.
Derek Carr, QB, New Orleans Saints ($8,800)
Carr hasn’t posted great numbers as a member of the Saints, but he did post a season-high 353 passing yards last week against the Houston Texans.
His shoulder injury doesn’t appear to be hindering him anymore, which gives us some optimism about his fantasy outlook moving forward.
If Carr can build off of a solid Week 6 performance, he could connect for some big plays down the field to some of the vertical passing weapons in this passing attack.
Chris Olave, WR, New Orleans Saints ($9,000)
Speaking of vertical deep threats, Olave returned to form after two underwhelming performances with seven receptions for 96 yards.

Olave has been consistently involved in the passing game but hasn’t truly had a breakout game yet this season. If the Saints continue to give Olave a high route participation and healthy average depth of target, it only feels like a matter of time until he puts it all together for a monster performance.
Rashid Shaheed, WR, New Orleans Saints ($5,000)
One of my favorite spend-down options in this game is another vertical threat in the Saints’ passing game. Shaheed is averaging a healthy 18.6 yards per reception over his 16 receptions this season.
The receiver is definitely a boom-or-bust play in this contest, but he could pay big dividends with a quarterback-receiver stack in this slate.
Evan Engram, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars ($5,800)
You may have noticed by the time you’ve arrived at this point in the article, that there has been no mention of any Jaguars players.
The biggest reason for their omission is the questionable status of QB Trevor Lawrence heading into this game.
Backup QB C.J. Beathard took all of the first-team reps in Tuesday’s practice, and his DraftKings price for this contest certainly suggests he has a real chance to start under center for the Jags in Week 7.
If that is the case, Engram is the pass-catcher I want to invest in with this unit.
Houston TE Dalton Schultz registered four receptions for 61 yards and a score against the Saints last week, and Beathard peppered San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle during his time as a starter for them late in the 2020 season.
Saints Defense ($5,400)
Speaking of Beathard, if he does get the starting nod under center, I definitely want to get the Saints’ defense in my DFS lineup.
No offense to Beathard, but playing against this defense in that stadium isn’t exactly where I’d want my backup quarterback to get his first start in over two seasons. New Orleans proved against the New England Patriots that they are fully capable of dominating a game.
