The high-powered offensive units of the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Buffalo Bills are all unavailable for this specific Sunday slate of afternoon games for DFS contests on DraftKings. Here is a look at some of my DFS picks for Week 9 of NFL action.
Week 9 DFS Locks
Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens ($8,200)
With the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Tua Tagavailoa, Justin Herbert, and Joe Burrow all unavailable for this slate, Lamar Jackson is the top-shelf option at the QB position. Quite frankly, he may be well worth paying top dollar to get in your lineup this week because of the slew of injuries at the QB position.

While Jackson may have had a quiet game against the Arizona Cardinals last week, the former league MVP proved against a quality Detroit Lions team just two weeks ago he is fully capable of producing a monster fantasy performance. The Seattle Seahawks are a real contender in the NFC, which means Jackson is going to have to bring his A-game. And if Jackson plays at his MVP-type level, he is easily the best fantasy option in this slate.
Rachaad White, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($5,600)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be struggling to run the football, but that hasn’t stopped Rachaad White from continuing to be a quality fantasy option at the RB position in PPR formats.
White has been an incredibly efficient and reliable option out of the backfield for Baker Mayfield this season. He caught 29 of his 30 targets through seven games this year, which includes catching all 13 of his targets for 135 yards over the last two weeks.
If the Buccaneers continue to have to throw the ball to generate any offense and White starts seeing any increase in touchdown equity, then he should be in store for a great fantasy outing against the Houston Texans.
Demario Douglas, WR, New England Patriots ($4,000)
New England Patriot WRs have not been a familiar face in my DFS lineups, but the recent usage and price point for rookie Demario Douglas have piqued my interest for Week 9. Douglas has seen 13 targets over the last two weeks, saw a career-high 77% of the snaps last week, and the team just lost leading WR Kendrick Bourne to a season-ending injury.
While the Patriots passing offense hasn’t been super exciting this season, they do face off against a Washington Commanders secondary that has given up an average of 35.9 fantasy points per game to opposing WRs. Douglas is a quality pay-down option for this slate.
Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens ($6,800)
Ideally, you always want to stack your DFS quarterback with his top receiving option. Zay Flowers certainly is an intriguing option, but Mark Andrews is still the alpha in this passing game and represents a very reasonable price point for this slate.

Andrews continues to be a red-zone target hog for this Baltimore Ravens offense and has found the end zone in two straight games. If this turns into a higher-scoring back-and-forth affair, Andrews could see plenty of opportunities to produce a top fantasy performance against the Seahawks.
New York Giants D/ST ($2,300)
The New York Giants represent the cheapest defensive option on this DFS slate, which could make them a popular pick, considering they will be facing off against a rookie quarterback who just lost his head coach earlier this week.
The Giants’ defense could make this a low-scoring game and force the rookie QB into a few mistakes, which makes them a very intriguing option for your lineup.
