DFS Picks for NFL Week 8: Are Lamar Jackson, Breece Hall, and Adam Thielen Locks?

Looking for NFL DFS Week 8 picks? Well, look no further! Here are the best potential plays for today's lineups.

The NFL Week 8 slate has 14 teams in action on Sunday, meaning we have a ton of different lineup options to construct a winning DFS lineup on DraftKings. Let’s take a closer look at some of my DFS picks for Week 8.

    Week 8 DFS Locks

Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens ($8,100)

The Baltimore Ravens’ passing offense finally clicked on all cylinders, which was evident by Lamar Jackson’s 393 total yards and four scores against the Detroit Lions in Week 7. His 357 passing yards were a season high, and he could have another big day in store against a vulnerable Arizona Cardinals secondary.

The Cardinals’ defense is allowing an average of 19.6 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. And when they aren’t trying to limit Jackson’s impact as a runner, they should have their hands full with slowing down Mark Andrews and Zay Flowers. Expect another big day from Jackson on Sunday.

Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets ($5,900)

The New York Jets have a formula of playing great defense and featuring Breece Hall on the offensive side of the ball. In fact, the Jets are undefeated this season when Hall either scores or rushes for over 100 yards this season.

Hall has averaged 22 touches per game over the Jets’ two-game winning streak, and that should continue to be the case against a Giants team that has struggled to score points throughout the majority of this season. Add in the fact that the Giants are giving up an average of 21.7 fantasy ppg to opposing running backs, and what’s not to love?

Adam Thielen, WR, Carolina Panthers ($6,600)

Carolina Panthers WR Adam Thielen has enjoyed a big bounce-back season in 2023. His 49 receptions, 509 receiving yards, and four receiving touchdowns through the team’s first six games have helped him get to WR7 in PPR formats to this point of the season.

He may not be able to separate like he used to, but Thielen’s volume is still among the elite. He is averaging just under 10 targets per game and has seen 13+ targets in three of the last four outings. Thielen is a great play at his current price point.

Logan Thomas, TE, Washington Commanders ($3,400)

The Washington Commanders offense may be spreading the ball around, but tight end Logan Thomas is still getting enough work in the passing game to warrant serious consideration at his price point.

If the Commanders continue to struggle offensively and fall behind against the Philadelphia Eagles, QB Sam Howell could wind up throwing the ball north of 40 times in this game, which could lead to a game where Thomas sees somewhere in the range of 7-10 targets.

    Atlanta Falcons D/ST ($2,900)

The Atlanta Falcons defense is coming off of a solid performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, holding their division rival to just 13 points at Raymond James Stadium. However, the matchup gets even better against a Tennessee Titans offense that will feature either Malik Willis or Will Levis under center this week.

Expect a handful of sacks and the potential for multiple turnovers while these two young quarterbacks experience some growing pains against a quality defense.
