Have you already been eliminated from your fantasy football playoffs and feel like you are missing out on the fun of setting a lineup heading into the new year? Well, fear not! We still have two more weeks of regular-season NFL action to get some wins through the holiday season.
Here is a look at some of my DFS picks for Week 17.
Week 17 DFS Locks
Brock Purdy, QB, San Francisco 49ers ($7,000)
There is no way around this…
Brock Purdy had an awful game against the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day. His four interceptions against the Ravens on a national stage with MVP implications on the line feel like a catastrophic event for Purdy truthers.
Do you know what cures an ailing quarterback in 2023, though? Playing the Washington Commanders defense. This unit allows an average of 261 passing yards per game, which is the second-highest mark in the league.
Expect Purdy to bounce back in a big way on Sunday.
D’Andre Swift, RB, Philadelphia Eagles ($5,700)
The Philadelphia Eagles helped end their three-game losing streak by leaning heavily on D’Andre Swift in Week 16, which saw him handle 20 carries in a game for the first time since September.
His 92 rushing yards and a score against the New York Giants could be a preview of things to come against an Arizona Cardinals defense who have allowed more rushing yards per game — 174.7 to be exact — over their last three contests than any other team in the league.
Expect a big day from Swift and the Eagles’ rushing attack in Week 17.
George Pickens, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers ($5,300)
For those of you who decided to bench George Pickens in Week 16, only to watch him go off with four receptions for 195 and two scores, allow me to offer my condolences and hope that the decision did not directly prevent you from advancing to the championship round.

The move from Mitchell Trubisky to Mason Rudolph proved to be a great thing for Pickens, and it could be the case again for him in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Rudolph is in line to start his second straight game this week, which means Pickens is a great price play at the WR position heading into Sunday.
George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers ($5,600)
The 49ers offense had a rough performance by their lofty standards against a stout Ravens defense, but TE George Kittle got off to a great start in that contest with a couple of big receptions in the opening quarter.
This week, the task gets much easier against a Commanders defense that gives up big plays in the passing game to almost every offense this season. Expect Kittle to exploit a banged-up linebacker group for the Commanders — who are without Jamin Davis — on a handful of occasions this Sunday.
Indianapolis Colts D/ST ($3,200)
Despite the Las Vegas Raiders’ big upset over the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas, the offense left very little to be excited about heading into Week 17.
The Indianapolis Colts defense has been one of the most underrated defensive units for the majority of the 2023 season, averaging 8.8 points per game based on the DraftKings scoring system.
If rookie QB Aidan O’Connell continues to struggle, then the Colts are a quality option for this Sunday slate.
