Where Will Derrick Henry Get Traded? Ravens, Bills, and Chiefs Among Betting Favorites as Landing Spots

If Derrick Henry were to get traded, the Ravens, Bills, and Chiefs are considered the betting favorites to land the star running back.

The NFL trade deadline is this upcoming Tuesday, Oct. 31, and perhaps the biggest name that could be moved is Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry. At 2-4, the Titans already began their fire sale earlier this week by trading two-time All-Pro safety Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles, leaving people to wonder if Henry could be next. But if Henry were to get traded, who are the most likely teams?

Where Will Derrick Henry Get Traded?

BetOnline has betting odds listed for Henry’s next team, and the Baltimore Ravens are the odds on favorites at -150, followed by the Buffalo Bills (+400) and Kansas City Chiefs (+600).

    1. Baltimore Ravens (-150)
    2. Buffalo Bills (+400)
    3. Kansas City Chiefs (+600)
    4. Pittsburgh Steelers (+1000)
    5. Minnesota Vikings/Seattle Seahawks/Cincinnati Bengals (+1200)

The Ravens being heavy favorites to land Henry certainly makes the most sense. J.K. Dobbins suffered a season-ending torn Achilles injury in Week 1, which has left the Ravens with a bit of a hole at running back. In his place, Gus Edwards has been the lead back, but he is averaging just 4.0 yards per carry.

In his first season as the primary running back, James Cook has been pretty efficient for the Bills, averaging 4.8 yards per carry, but adding Henry would give them a nice “thunder and lightning” balance in their backfield.

It would also allow them to give fewer carries to Latavius Murray, who is running for just 3.6 yards per carry this season but is their second option in the backfield behind Cook.

The Chiefs having the third-best odds to land Henry is surprising, given the emergence of Isiah Pacheco and that they have a much bigger need at wide receiver than running back. If there was a player on the Titans offense that the Chiefs should trade for, it’s DeAndre Hopkins, not Henry.

We’ll find out on Tuesday if Henry gets traded, but if there is one suitor that makes the most sense, it is definitely the Ravens, who have the biggest need at running back of all of the possible suitors.
