    Carr Betting Trends and Stats

Carr’s career average of 269.0 passing yards per game in September is his highest of any month.

    Carr Best Bet

Carr’s final season with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 was his worst since his rookie campaign in 2014. His passer rating (86.3) and completion percentage (60.8%) were the worst since his first season, plus his interception percentage of 2.8% was the worst of his career.

But a change of scenery seemed to agree with Carr, as he threw for 305 yards and a touchdown (also an INT) for the Saints in their win over the Tennessee Titans last week.

Next up is a Carolina Panthers team that allowed Atlanta Falcons QB Desmond Ridder to go 15 for 18 through the air, albeit for just 118 yards (6.4 yards per attempt). Carr will likely challenge Carolina’s defense downfield much more than Ridder did.

Carr’s yards per pass attempt in the season opener was 9.2. I’m not sure if another 300-yard passing game is in the cards for him, but he should definitely go over the passing yards prop tonight.

Derek Carr Best Bet: Over 234.5 passing yards (-115 at DraftKings)
