‘He Loaded Him Up’ – Deion Sanders Narrates Heartwarming Story of NFL Draft Prospect Shedeur Sanders’ Generosity Towards Former Teammate

Deion Sanders opened up about the beautiful nature of his quarterback son, Shedeur Sanders, a top prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Deion Sanders, who’s currently chiseling his coaching skills as the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes in the CFB landscape, shared a touching story about his son, Shedeur Sanders.

Shedeur, the ace quarterback of his father’s team and a top 2025 NFL Draft prospect, was at the center of Coach Prime’s words. He wants fans to see his son in a new light.

Shedeur Sanders Isn’t What Everyone Thinks of Him

The 22-year-old is known for his on-field shenanigans, from bringing out “The Watch”  touchdown celebration to always speaking his mind to the media.

However, Shedeur’s softer side often flies under the radar. But his dad, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, took a moment during a press conference to reveal Shedeur’s generous spirit, showing that there’s more to his son than the competitive fire seen on the field.

During Colorado’s game against Cincinnati, Deion responded to a question about Tre Tre Thornton, son of late rapper Young Dolph, who was spotted on the sidelines. Rather than focusing solely on the game, Coach Prime recounted a moment when his son went above and beyond to support a teammate.

When one of Shedeur’s former teammates needed furniture, the QB didn’t hesitate. Deion’s voice was filled with pride as he narrated, “His heart is phenomenal. We even had a guy who jumped into the transfer portal this offseason. He didn’t have furniture in his home, but Shedeur bought it for him. I mean loaded them up.”

Unfortunately, this generous act became unrecognized when the teammate entered the transfer portal. “He didn’t even say thank you and didn’t even say bye,” continued the Colorado head honcho.

Yet, Shedeur’s focus remained on helping others, something Deion wanted the world to know. Shedeur’s on-field persona has sometimes been misunderstood. His refusal to shake hands with Colorado State’s QB, Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, after their heated game wasn’t about arrogance but respect. Nicolosi had disrespected Shedeur and the Buffs, so Shedeur chose not to engage.

While Shedeur might be fiery on the field, his off-field compassion, as Deion shared, shows the true heart behind the talent.
