‘That’s on Me’ – Coach Prime’s Eldest Son Deion Jr. Takes the Blame for Fan’s Rant Against Travis Hunter’s Social Media

    Published on

Deion Sanders' eldest son Deion Sanders' Jr. takes the fall for Colorado star Travis Hunter amid the latest social media frenzy.

Deion Sanders’ Colorado team has successfully left fans stunned with their electric performance this season. A big chunk of credit goes towards their two stars, Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders.

Both Sanders and Hunter are projected to be first-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft and are also involved in the Heisman Trophy chatter this year, along with names like Quinn Ewers, Dillon Gabriel, Carson Beck, and more.

The Colorado team has been accused of “playing for the clicks” numerous times; one such statement has been issued by a fan on X (previously known as Twitter).

Deion Jr. Admits To Helping Hunter Post on Social Media

The user stated, “To my knowledge, Hunter is the only candidate who has felt the need to self clout to hide his stats insecurity about his position in Heisman. Even go after a fellow candidate. The other candidates have let their play and media do the talking.”

Responding to this, Deion Sanders’ eldest son Deion Sanders Jr. shared that he posts things from Hunter’s account, meaning the Colorado star hasn’t been hyping himself up this whole time.

“I post on his instagram… so that’s on me,” Deion Jr. added.

While Deion Jr. handled the situation, the fan who made the comment started receiving a lot of backlash for the statement, addressing which he later said:

“Today I have learned 1) Colorado fans have every right to defend their star player 1A) if you defend your star player you are ‘soft’ and ‘insecure’ 2) Calling a college athlete insecure is considered making a threat to that person.”

Shedeur Sanders Crowns Travis Hunter as the Best Player in CFB

Both Shedeur and Travis have been putting up impressive numbers on the board, especially during the Buffaloes’ latest 34-23 win over Cincinnati.

While both the Colorado men are in the Heisman Trophy debate, Shedeur has made his thoughts clear on who deserves to take the honor home in 2024.

During a press conference, the Colorado quarterback said: “It is what it is. I don’t look too deep into that. I just want Travis to win, of course, and that would be almost like I won because I throw the ball. Yeah. So, with Travis, Travis is the best player in college football, hands down. And I’m excited for him to win it. That’s truly what would make my day right there.

“Just seeing him on there, knowing the sacrifice that he took, you know, to make all this happen, come here, and, you know, no matter how much money he was offered and all that crazy type of stuff, I heard that, he told me. I’m like, Yeah, bro, you’re good for him; you are a good brother.”

The Colorado crew will have some time to rest this week as they don’t have a matchup in Week 10 before going head-to-head against Texas Tech in Week 11.
