Deion Sanders Jr. Takes to Instagram To Praise Jimmy Horn Jr. for Combine Invitation
Horn is one step closer to making his NFL dream a reality, and Sanders could not be prouder.
“Turn up young king,” Sanders posted on Instagram with a copy of Horn’s invitation.
The Buffaloes lost to BYU in the Alamo Bowl last Saturday, but this takes away some of the pain from the loss. Now, Horn gets to showcase his wares to NFL coaches and scouts at the annual rite of passage to the league.
Most players who get drafted pass through the Combine in Indianapolis, which will run this year from Feb. 27-March 2.
Horn finished the season with 441 yards receiving on 37 receptions and one touchdown despite missing much of November with a lower body injury.

Horn is a native of Sanford, Fla., and was raised by his father, Jimmy Horn Sr., a former college football player, who did not reach the NFL. Growing up in a rough neighborhood, Horn found solace in football, following in his father’s footsteps.
Horn also considers his program’s coach, Deion Sanders, a father figure and even asked Coach Prime to walk him out on Colorado’s Senior Day because his father, who is incarcerated, could not be there.
“Wow – how special is this!! Kid is gonna show them and continue to make his dad and Prime proud!!!” one fan noted.
“He gonna be a steal in the draft,” another fan said.
“Awesome 👍🏾 This will be CU’s largest Draft Class,” one fan noted.
Horn was also a track and field athlete during his high school days. In light of his speed, according to NFL Draft Buzz, he dashed 40 yards in 4.34 seconds.
“His 40 time is gonna get him drafted, I don’t see him running less than a 4.39,” a fan wrote.
Horn has the potential to be a return specialist in the NFL. Also, he could make solid contributions as a depth receiver at the next level. His open-field speed will undoubtedly appeal to teams. He was a favorite target of surefire first-round pick Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
Coach Prime joined the trend and congratulated his athlete for the invitation to the Combine on his Instagram page on New Year’s Eve.
According to Pro Football Network’s NFL Mock Draft Simulator, Horn is just outside of the top 150 prospects at No. 151 overall, projecting him to be drafted around Round 5.
