Travis Hunter and his relationship with fiancée Leanna Lenee have come under the public eye after several videos of the latter emerged on the internet, leading fans and some NFL players to ask the Colorado star to dump her.
Hunter, who is planning to get married next year in May, has more than once stood in defense against the criticism his fiancée is facing. However, it seems he has had enough of the social media frenzy, leading him to deactivate his socials, both Instagram and TikTok. This action has left several fans to wonder if the two-way star is in the right frame of mind to compete in the upcoming Alamo Bowl game against the BYU Cougars on Dec. 28.
Deion Sanders Showers Support for Travis Hunter Amid Intense Social Media Controversy
Hunter looks up to Coach Prime as a fatherly figure. Amid tough times, one expects empathy from their close ones, and Deion Sanders gave him exactly that.
On Thursday morning, during practice for the upcoming bowl game, Sanders asked Hunter to come up front so that he and the Buffs squad could showcase their support for him.
“I want you to know this in front of everybody. You know we love you. We got you. We appreciate you. You are him,” Sanders said in the video.
The Buffaloes coach also asked his boys to show their support for their star player.

It’s Not Stressing, It’s Blessing – Deion Sanders Upon Being Asked About Travis Hunter’s Off-Field Life
It was expected someone would ask Coach Prime to address the negative attention Hunter is receiving concerning his fiancée.
During a weekly media appearance earlier this week, Sanders refrained from directly addressing the topic but instead said it’s all a blessing for the Heisman winner.
“I don’t know about the bull junk. I think everything is great,” Sanders said. “He has a Heisman Trophy at the crib. He’s projected to be the first or second pick, no later than the third. I don’t know where the bull junk comes in at. I think it’s all a blessing. Things that you may count as stressful are still a blessing. And I think he’s headed in the right direction.”
If there were any doubts about Hunter’s availability at the upcoming Bowl game, the recent video should be enough to suggest the cornerback/wide receiver is in the right frame of mind and is well-suited to wreak havoc for one last time in a college football game.
