Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback and current Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders may have very well played his last college football game at Folsom Field with his two sons, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and safety Shilo Sanders. The Buffaloes dominated the Oklahoma State Cowboys, setting up a perfect 52-0 shutout victory.
Sanders brought both of his sons along with him when he opted to take the Colorado job ahead of the 2023 season. Soon enough, the football program reached new heights, improving upon the 2022 one-win season with a 4-8 2023 season. In just his second year, Sanders led the Buffaloes to a 9-3 season with a chance of making the conference championship game and potentially the college football playoffs.
Deion Sanders Shares Throwback Pics With His Two Sons After Week 14 Win
Following his dominating Week 14 victory, Coach Prime took to Instagram, sharing a collage of “then and now” photos of him along with his two NFL-bound sons, Shedeur and Shilo.
In the “then” photo, it captures a moment from the past when Deion was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Young Shedeur and Shilo are seen celebrating the moment with their father.
The second photo shows the present-day Sanders family on a football field. Deion, as the head coach of the University of Colorado football team, walks with Shedeur and Shilo.
Coach Prime also penned a heartfelt caption: “We’ve kept God 1st thru all the good and the bad. Now we’re here! #CoachPrime @shilosanders @shedeursanders @deionsandersjr.”

Deion Sanders Confirms His Sons Will Play in Upcoming Bowl Game
Generally, NFL-bound players skip non-playoff bowl games to better prepare for the NFL Combine and subsequent NFL Draft. Thus, if Colorado doesn’t qualify for the playoffs, many thought that Colorado’s Black Friday game would be the last time anyone would see Shedeur, Shilo, and Travis Hunter in the Buffaloes’ jerseys.
Buffing those rumors, Coach Prime said, “Our kids are going to play in our bowl game because that’s what we signed up to do, and we’re going to finish. We’re not going to tap out because that throws off the structure of next season.
“There are a couple of teams you take note of — they laid an egg in the bowl game and haven’t recovered since. We don’t plan on doing that. We plan on going out there and fighting just like we fought today, regardless of where we are. I wish we had some say in the bowl location because I want to go somewhere our fan base can reach economically because I care about them that much.”

The Alamo Bowl is projected to host the Buffaloes if they don’t make the college football playoffs, with the bowl’s vice president verbally expressing his interest in hosting Colorado.
