Deion Sanders is not happy with the media’s rhetoric, which appears to suggest that he is calling for his children, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, to be drafted. He said this is farthest from the truth, and he will go see Roger Goodell to straighten matters out if he has to.
Coach Prime, Commissioner To Discuss Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Plans
Deion Sanders has been on podcast after podcast saying his son Shedeur should be the No. 1 pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. The quarterback was often been linked to go to the Las Vegas Raiders with the first pick. However, the Raiders won their last two games and lost the top pick.
After they lost the top spot, Sanders turned his attention to the New York Giants. Coach Prime said the Giants were going to keep the pick and select Shedeur. The quarterback even wore Giants cleats in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday.
However, the Giants won on Sunday in Week 17 and lost the right to pick first. They had the inside track and were favored to lose to the Indianapolis Colts, who were playing for a playoff berth. Sanders appeared to be in the mix to go to the Giants.
Oddsmakers had it as a toss-up between him and Cam Ward from the Miami Hurricanes.
It will be multiple IDIOTS that will say things that totally aren’t true regarding where I would like @ShedeurSanders & @ShiloSanders to play in the @nfl. If I say it I will say it directly to whom it may concern not a attention seeker. I do know @nflcommish personally! 🎤drop

Ward’s inability to play in the second half of the Pop-Tarts Bowl, when his team needed him the most, might have hurt his draft status a bit. Time will tell how it might affect his positioning.
Shedeur could end up going to the Cleveland Browns or the Tennessee Titans, both of whom draft ahead of the Giants and the Raiders. The endorsement opportunities would be far greater in New York or Las Vegas than in Cleveland or Nashville, say.
Here is the current 2025 NFL Draft order following all of the Sunday action in Week 17:
1. New England Patriots, 3-13
2. Tennessee Titans, 3-13
3. Cleveland Browns, 3-13
4. New York Giants, 3-13
5. Jacksonville Jaguars, 4-12
6. Carolina Panthers, 4-12
7. New York Jets, 4-12
8. Las Vegas Raiders, 4-12
9. Chicago Bears, 4-12
10. New Orleans Saints, 5-11
11. San Francisco 49ers, 6-9
12. Indianapolis Colts, 7-9
13. Dallas Cowboys, 7-9
14. Arizona Cardinals, 7-9
15. Miami Dolphins, 8-8
16. Cincinnati Bengals, 8-8
17. Atlanta Falcons, 8-8
18. Seattle Seahawks, 9-7
19. Houston Texans, 9-7
20. Denver Broncos, 9-7
21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 9-7
22. Los Angeles Chargers, 10-6
23. Los Angeles Rams, 10-6
24. Green Bay Packers, 11-5
25. Pittsburgh Steelers, 10-6
26. Washington Commanders, 11-5
27. Baltimore Ravens, 11-5
28. Philadelphia Eagles, 13-3
29. Buffalo Bills, 13-3
30. Detroit Lions, 13-2
31. Minnesota Vikings, 14-2
32. Kansas City Chiefs, 15-1
The Titans, Browns, and the Giants will all be looking to replace their quarterbacks next season. They might look to do so in the first round. Sanders will compete with Ward to determine the order of the top two quarterbacks and where they eventually end up.
The last part of Coach Prime’s post is the most compelling. Why would he go see commissioner Roger Goodell? It would appear that Sanders might want to try and dictate where Shedeur and Shilo end up. What other purpose would there be in seeing the commish?
