DeeJay Dallas Fantasy Outlook: Does He Have a Role on the Seattle Seahawks’ Offense?

DeeJay Dallas had a brief moment of relevance last season. Buried behind two second-round RBs, is there any hope of fantasy value on the Seahawks' offense?

Seattle Seahawks running back DeeJay Dallas is primarily a special teamer that was thrust into action due to multiple injuries last season. He handled himself well but remains behind both Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet. What is his fantasy football outlook for the 2023 season?

    DeeJay Dallas’ Fantasy Outlook

There’s not much data to go on when evaluating Dallas. Over three professional seasons, he’s averaged 4.7, 3.5, and 3.1 PPR fantasy points per game.

Dallas did show flashes of what he could do with a full workload as a rookie. He had one game with more than a 32% snap share. In that game, he scored 22.8 fantasy points.

In 2021, he had five games with over a 30% snap share. He averaged 9.9 ppg in those contests. Last season, Dallas had a 35% snap share or greater in three games. He averaged 8.9 ppg in them.

Obviously, none of this is overly exciting. But it’s enough to show that if Dallas were to find himself in a situation where the Seahawks need to give him the ball more, he’s capable of producing.

Should Fantasy Managers Draft Dallas at His ADP?

In 2022, the Seahawks spent a second-round pick on Walker. This year, they spent a second-round pick on Charbonnet. There’s little doubt that those two are well ahead of Dallas on the depth chart. He does project to be third, though.

If one of Walker or Charbonnet were to get hurt, Dallas would likely be worth a speculative pickup. If both got hurt, he’d probably be worth starting. Unfortunately, that is the only plausible path to fantasy value for Dallas.

Dallas doesn’t even have an ADP. And I didn’t even rank him. No one is drafting him, and you don’t need to either.
