Davante Adams Reveals the One Surprise NFL Team that He Will ‘Never’ Play for in His Career

Davante Adams boldly shuts down joining a rival team, showing loyalty runs deep. Some uniforms are off the table — his heart’s elsewhere.

Davante Adams just threw some serious shade with a loyalty twist. While NFL stars typically stay mum about future teams, Adams went bold, saying there’s one squad he’ll never suit up for. Yep, loyalty runs deep in his game plan, and he’s making it clear that some uniforms just won’t make it onto his bucket list.

Given his fierce competitive spirit and unapologetic personality, fans weren’t expecting anything less. Let’s just say his heart (and jerseys) belong elsewhere — and the idea of him switching colors to join this team? Not going to happen.

Davante Adams Refuses to Wear a Bears Jersey, Citing Loyalty and History

Adams just shut down an idea faster than a cornerback closing a route. When asked if he’d ever suit up for the Chicago Bears, Adams flatly said, “No.” Not because he’s picky, but because his loyalty to his past teams and experiences runs too deep.

He told Kay Adams on the “Up & Adams show”: “I’m not playing too much longer as it is. So, on my last days in this league, after all that I’m blessed with, I will not be going to Chicago. I respect everyone I play with. But I’m not playing for the Bears.”

Adams won’t join the Bears, and it’s all about history. The Green Bay Packers and the Bears have one of the oldest rivalries in NFL lore, going back over 100 years. Adams made his mark with the Packers as a top WR from 2014 to 2021.

That Packers pride never left him, even after his departure.

Since then, Adams has had a rocky path. Having moved to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021, his relationship with the team soured. Now with the New York Jets, Adams reunited with his former Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.

But the season hasn’t gone as planned.

With the Jets sitting at 4-10 and missing playoff hopes, it’s been a rough road. Still, Adams remains optimistic about the reunion, saying playing alongside Rodgers has been a highlight in his career.

Looking to the future, Adams’ next move depends on two factors: Rodgers’ status with the Jets and his own contract situation. Whether he stays with the Jets or moves elsewhere, Adams remains committed to making the most of every opportunity — just not in a Bears uniform.

Adams Hits 100 TDs, Surpasses Legends, Strengthens Rodgers Bond

Adams just secured his spot among NFL legends. His touchdown catches against the Jacksonville Jaguars pushed him into the exclusive club of 12 players with 100 career-receiving touchdowns. Adams also reached ninth in total career TD receptions, surpassing Hall of Famers Tim Brown and Steve Largent.

    But he didn’t stop there.

After tying Mike Evans with 101 career touchdowns, Adams regained sole ownership of ninth place with two more touchdowns in the same game. Adams’ success also highlights his bond with Rodgers.

Together, they’ve connected for 81 touchdowns, including postseason play, placing them fourth on the NFL’s all-time QB-WR connection list.

Adams’ ascent isn’t just about numbers. It showcases his consistency, talent, and deep-rooted partnerships.
