Davante Adams made his debut appearance for the New York Jets on Sunday night. However, the wide receiver was unable to help his team to the finishing line.
After the game, the former Las Vegas Raiders player spoke on the loss and the reasons behind it. Adams’ analysis was enough to set NFL fans off, and they did not spare the two-time receiving touchdowns leader.
NFL Fans Call Out Davante Adams After Jets Loss to Steelers
Adams shocked the world with his trade request, but nobody was shocked when he joined his former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, with the Jets. In his first game, however, the duo were unable to create their magic, and the Jets lost 37-15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After the game, Adams was asked by the media to share his thoughts on the loss.
“Didn’t execute, didn’t finish. That’s been the underlying thing with this team this year,” said Adams.

Raiders fans were quick to point out that the Jets had not been in tremendous form, and Adams’ move there didn’t make sense.
“Then why did you wanna be traded there lol,” wrote one fan on X (previously Twitter).
“Sounds so different than the Raiders. Hope you’re happy, Tae,” another fan tweeted.
“Raiders won the trade,” someone else responded.

On the other hand, Adams’ words were not taken kindly by Jets fans, either.
“Bro you just got here,” tweeted one fan.
“YOU LITERALLY JUST JOINED THE TEAM. YOU WEREN’T EVEN HERE,” another fan added.

“Tae had been a Jet for less than a week and he’s already making generalizations about the year the team has had,” one more fan tweeted.
Adams Will Have a Shot at Victory Next Week
Adams was lackluster in his debut against the Steelers. The veteran wide receiver totaled just three receptions for 30 yards. However, he will get his chance to improve his numbers in Week 8 against the New England Patriots in the teams’ second meeting of the season.
The Jets are 2-5 and on a four-game losing streak. Meanwhile, their AFC East rivals are 1-6 with a six-game losing streak. The Jets defeated the Patriots in their initial Week 3 meeting at MetLife Stadium, and Adams has a perfect opportunity to lead New York to victory once again.
