Davante Adams' comments help foster rumors that Tee Higgins will leave Joe Burrow and the Bengals for Jordan Love and the Packers.

The Cincinnati Bengals will try their best to sign a lengthy deal with superstar Tee Higgins. As of now, the wide receiver is set to hit the free agency market, and he doesn’t lack suitors.

Former Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams revealed that, despite Higgins’ brilliance with Joe Burrow, the Packers can poach him.

Davante Adams Speaks Up on Tee Higgins’ Future

With each passing day, the list of teams interested in acquiring Higgins’ services keeps growing. However, the Packers’ name has been constant, and many expect that if Higgins were to leave Burrow’s side, it would be for an adept quarterback like Jordan Love.

During his appearance on the “Up & Adams” show, the Jets WR did not let the talks die down.

“I heard they’ve been looking into Tee Higgins,” he said regarding the Packers’ search for a No. 1 receiver. “He’s a good player. That’s not a bad move.”

As the host pointed out, Higgins might stay with the Bengals after all, due to Burrow’s insistence. The veteran WR responded stating that he loves that idea as well, since the duo has been wreaking havoc lately.

“In my mind, he’s a No. 1. He can easily go to any team and be a No. 1, so if that’s what he decides to do, I know that will work out too,” he added.

Higgins missed the first two games of the season with an injury and had to take time off later in the season as well due to ankle issues. Despite starting only 12 games, the 25-year-old registered 73 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.

NFL Analyst Makes a Bold Prediction for Higgins’ Future

The Bengals franchise-tagged Higgins going into the 2024 season. They tried to sign him later as well, but both parties couldn’t agree on the final details of the contract. As such, many expect a similar case this offseason as well.

CBS sports writer Jordan Dajani predicts the dark horse in the race would be the Washington Commanders and considered them the favorites to sign Higgins.

“Our prediction is that Washington signs former Cincinnati Bengals wideout Tee Higgins in free agency to a four-year, $108 million deal that carries an AAV of $27 million. That would put Higgins in the top 10 of highest-paid wide receivers currently,” he wrote.
