Davante Adams Gets Candid on Chances of Raiders Trading Maxx Crosby

Jets WR Davante Adams gives his thoughts on the chances of his former Raiders teammate Maxx Crosby being traded ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

Davante Adams shocked the football world by handing in his trade request. Now the former member of the Las Vegas Raiders predicts the chances of another player leaving Las Vegas.

Maxx Crosby is considered to be on track to leave the Raiders before the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 5, and the New York Jets wide receiver shared his take on the entire matter.

Davante Adams Sheds Light on Maxx Crosby’s Trade Rumors

While Adams spent only two full seasons with the Raiders, Crosby has been with Las Vegas for five years. On numerous occasions, the powerhouse defensive end has pledged his loyalty to the Raiders’ cause and wants to end his career with the same team that drafted him.

Thus, during Adams’ appearance on the “Up & Adams Show,” the wide receiver shared his doubts about Crosby leaving the Raiders.

“I don’t really know what’s going on with that,” said Adams. “I highly doubt that Maxx would be traded out of there, but it’s been a lot of talk going on. I just, I don’t know what to make.”

Despite his confidence in Crosby staying the course for his sixth season with the Raiders, Adams has left out a possibility. The Jets receiver understands that everything is possible in the NFL. Crosby has led the league for the past two seasons for most tackles for loss.

Adams Finds a Diamond on the Jets’ Roster

Adams lost in his debut game for the Jets in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Nevertheless, the six-time Pro Bowler found several positives in the moment — one of them being WR Garrett Wilson.

Davante Adams couldn’t help but rave about Wilson during his appearance with Kay Adams.

“He’s a special player, and I love having the opportunity to play with him and helping him grow,” said Adams on Wilson. “Him being such a young player, being where he’s at now, he’s light years ahead of where I was at that point in my career.”

Wilson and Adams will form one of the most destructive wide receiver duos in the NFL to date. They need to show that on the field, though, and break the Jets’ four-game losing streak, starting with their division-rival New England Patriots up next.
