New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones limped off the field and straight to the blue tent after a second down dropback that ended in him falling to the turf on his dropback without being contacted. What do we know about the injury, and what does this mean for the Giants?

Non-contact injuries are usually not good. Although it could be a good sign that he immediately stood up, that is no guarantee that he’ll return for this game. The team has not updated his status yet.
Jones left the blue tent and was led to the locker room under his own power.
Update (6:12 p.m. ET): The New York Giants announced that Jones has been ruled out with a knee injury.
Update (7:45 p.m. ET): The Giants fear that Jones has a significant knee injury. An MRI will determine the extent of the injury, but the feeling is that a torn ACL is possible, according to Art Stapleton.
Update (11/6/2023): Following an MRI, Brian Daboll announced that Jones tore his ACL. He will undergo surgery and the team plans on Jones being ready for the 2024 season.
Fantasy Impact of Jones’ Injury
Fantasy managers are very familiar with the possibility that Jones won’t be in at QB for the Giants. Unfortunately, this time around, there’s no Tyrod Taylor there to save them, as he’s been placed on injured reserve and is out for the next several games.
This means that we’re going to see Tommy DeVito again for the Giants at QB, and we saw what that meant for the receiving weapons in Week 8. There weren’t many weapons that fantasy managers were relying on from the Giants’ offense anyway, but this is essentially a sign to stay completely away, outside of Saquon Barkley when he’s fully healthy.
