Dalton Kincaid was on the practice report Wednesday with a collarbone issue. How serious is the injury, and is Kincaid at risk of missing the Buffalo Bills‘ Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks? Should fantasy football managers expect to need to find a new tight end this week?
What Happened to Dalton Kincaid?
As a friendly reminder, Wednesday practices don’t mean much at this point in the year. Teams tend to play it safe with banged-up players. We often see veterans get rest days.
Kincaid first popped up on the practice report with this collarbone issue last week. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before getting in a full session on Friday. He did not carry a final injury designation and played.
It appears Kincaid is not fully over the injury, as he is once again opening the week with a limited practice.

This should not be cause for any concern. The Bills are merely managing their TE1’s reps to ensure he is not overworked during the week. Barring an unexpected setback, Kincaid will play on Sunday against the Seahawks.
Kincaid’s Fantasy Outlook This Week
Fantasy managers will certainly be glad to hear they’ll have Kincaid this week. It’s great news, as this is a fantastic spot for the meandering tight end to possibly break out.
The Seahawks have really struggled defending the tight end this season. Nearly 27% of their total receiving yards allowed has gone to the position, the fourth most in the league. They’re allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends.
Kincaid is only averaging 8.1 fantasy points per game on the season, but he’s seeing a healthy 20.3% target share. With Amari Cooper undoubtedly set for more playing time this week, Kincaid’s usage may take a hit. But with so few reliable tight ends and a favorable matchup, Kincaid belongs in fantasy lineups as usual.
