Injury Updates
Mike McCarthy said in a news conference that tight end Luke Schoonmaker suffered a setback yesterday and hopes to see him back on the field next week. Keep in mind Schoonmaker is dealing with plantar fasciitis.
Safety Israel Mukuamu is in a ramp-up period after dealing with a hamstring injury and is getting rotated back in.
Lastly, Patrik Walker tweeted a video of safety Donovan Wilson no longer in a walking boot.
Kicking Competition
Today’s mojo moment tested a game-time situation for a high-pressure kick.
Brandon Aubrey went 1 for 3. The first attempt veered left, the second one was short, and he completed the mojo moment by connecting on the third kick. Meanwhile, Tristan Vizcaino went 0 for 3. All three attempts for Vizcaino veered left.
It’s becoming clear how vital next week’s game will be for Aubrey and Vizcaino.

Star of the Show
The star of the show today was Overshown, who has continued to have a strong camp after almost two interceptions. Nick Harris with the Dallas Cowboys tweeted that the first one was called back due to a penalty. But the second one closed out practice on a high note for the defense.
Not only is Overshown becoming a defensive weapon, but he has been praised by special teams coordinator John Fassel for his versatility on the unit. If Overshown can continue on this upward path and show out during the Cowboys’ preseason games, he should have a strong chance at making the final 53-man roster.
