Thursday’s practice is a fully padded practice, which was held outside. The first portion of practice was open to the media for team stretches, special-teams work, and individual drills.

    KaVontae Turpin

The wide receiver has been dealing with an ankle injury for two weeks now. Head coach Mike McCarthy said KaVontae Turpin was scheduled to take total reps at practice today, and he is hopeful for his availability for Sunday’s game.

Turpin was seen at practice participating in stretches and taking punt returns, which is already more than he did last week.

On Wednesday, Turpin fully participated in the team’s walkthrough practice after not playing in Sunday’s game against the Giants.

    Rico Dowdle

Rico Dowdle is dealing with an ankle injury as well. During Thursday’s practice, he worked with Britt Brown on the resistance cords on the sidelines. McCarthy was asked about the running back’s usage and if he would get more touches like he did on Sunday against the Giants.

The Cowboys head coach said, “We’ll see how the game goes. I’m thrilled to death with the way Rico is playing. But I think we do an excellent job of ball distribution. …The game dictates that. If Rico gets more carries, that would be great. But also my focus is Tony Pollard as the primary ball carrier.”

    Peyton Hendershot

Peyton Hendershot was participating in Thursday’s practice open to the media after being designated for return from injured reserve on Wednesday.

Hendershot was placed on IR in October after missing two games with an ankle injury. It’s still unclear if he will play on Sunday, but it indicates that he’s on a path to return.
