Dallas Cowboys Injury Report: Could TE Peyton Hendershot Return This Week?

The Dallas Cowboys are going into Thursday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks reasonably healthy. But who popped up on the injury report this week?

    Full Participants on Wednesday:

After Wednesday’s walkthrough, no one was listed by the Cowboys as being questionable or doubtful, indicating that the team is going into Thursday’s game healthy.

    S Jayron Kearse

Kearse has been dealing with a back injury that kept him inactive last Thursday against the Commanders.

But that doesn’t seem to be the case this week. In the locker room, when Kearse was asked about his odds of playing this week, he said, “200 percent.”

Throughout the week, Kearse got more of an increased workload during practice.

McCarthy gave an update on Kearse, saying the safety would participate in the majority of reps during Monday’s practice.

During the practice portion open to the media on Monday, Kearse was spotted in position drills and team stretches.

    RB Rico Dowdle

Dowdle has been dealing with an ankle injury for the last two weeks.

Although it has not kept him from missing any playing time, it has kept his name on the practice report and allowed him to take limited reps during certain days.

However, the running back isn’t skipping a step, as he looks just as physical with his angry running style.

During the practice portion open to the media on Monday, Dowdle was seen working with the rest of the running back room.

    Peyton Hendershot

The tight end is nearing his 21-day window of designated return from injured reserve and has not been active for the last two games.

If the team does not choose to activate Hendershot for Thursday’s game, the Cowboys would have to either place him on season-ending injured reserve or open up the conversation on whether he could also be released from the team.

Hendershot suffered an ankle injury ahead of Week 4’s matchup against the Patriots and was placed on IR shortly after.

Although it’s still a question whether Hendershot will be on the active roster come Sunday, he has fully participated in practice.
