The Cowboys had a typical Wednesday practice, which typically means it is a veteran rest day for multiple veteran players.

    DT Johnathan Hankins

Head coach Mike McCarthy said Hankins will be “hard-pressed to play” on Sunday against the Bills.

Hankins is dealing with a high ankle sprain he suffered on Sunday against the Eagles.

Although the team has not given a timeline for Hankins, multiple reports state that he could return before the end of the regular season.

    S Malik Hooker

There has been no update from McCarthy on Hooker, who was a surprise to see pop up on Wednesday’s injury report.

Although it was a walkthrough practice, it will be interesting to see his participation status on Thursday.

    RB Rico Dowdle

Dowdle has continued to battle an ankle injury for the last few weeks. However, it hasn’t impacted his playing time.

The running back has been limited at practice for the last couple of weeks but is coming off Sunday’s game with his most snaps so far this season.

Against the Eagles, Dowdle played on 23 snaps and was in a total of 28.0% of the offensive snaps.

    Injured-Reserve Transactions

The Cowboys also made some transactions today, which included:

Both Fehoko and offensive lineman Billy Price were designated for a return to practice.

Fehoko hasn’t played a game this season despite being on the 53-man roster.

Meanwhile, Price has only been a member of the team’s practice squad.
