OT Tyron Smith and G Zack Martin

The Cowboys are on track to have their starting offensive line play a game for the first time this season.

The last time the team had their starting five on the field was back in 2021.

McCarthy had good news: Tyron Smith did everything he was asked to do on Friday, and Zack Martin “took all of his reps” as well.

Smith is dealing with a knee injury that has kept him out of Weeks 3 and 4 this season. Martin is dealing with a thigh injury as well.

Smith and Martin did not participate in practice on Wednesday as they took a rest day. However, they were full participants on Thursday.

    RB Rico Dowdle

Rico Dowdle is dealing with a hip contusion from Sunday’s game against the Patriots.

Dowdle did not participate in practice on Wednesday. But on Thursday, he was seen working on the resistance bands with associate athletic trainer/director of rehabilitation Britt Brown and later working back in during individual drills and fully participated in practice.

S Malik Hooker and EDGE Micah Parsons

Malik Hooker is dealing with a shoulder injury, and Micah Parsons is dealing with a knee injury.

Hooker and Parsons were limited at practice on Wednesday and Thursday. However, both players can have limited reps and still be ready for the game.

The limited reps are likely a product of preserving the edge rusher and safety for the longevity of the season.

    Peyton Hendershot

Peyton Hendershot is dealing with an ankle injury that kept him out of Sunday’s game against the Patriots.

He has not participated in practice all week. If Hendershot is unavailable for Sunday night’s game, Sean McKeon can be elevated from the practice squad like last week.
