    Dallas Cowboys

    Out:

The Cowboys will be without Johnathan Hankins this week after he suffered an ankle injury on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

In his place, first-round draft pick Mazi Smith will step in and take on more of the workload.

Earlier in the week, Mike McCarthy said Smith is doing “a hell of a job,” especially considering the veteran-based room he walked into this season.

“He’s here to do a job that is dirty. This is not a statistic-filled role that is going to bring him a lot of notoriety,” McCarthy said.

As for Brandin Cooks, Stephon Gilmore, and Jalen Tolbert, they have all been dealing with an illness this week.

Tolbert will not be active, so Michael Gallup will likely take more snaps.

McCarthy said on Friday that all those players would progress enough come game time.

    Buffalo Bills

    Out:

The Bills will be thin at safety, making the middle of the field more open without Micah Hyde and Matt Milano, who is on injured reserve.

A.J. Epenesa has the second-most amount of sacks on the Bills this season with 6.5. Without him, the pass rush pressure will also take a hit.
