After another embarrassing loss, this time to the Philadelphia Eagles, 41-7, Dallas Cowboys EDGE Micah Parsons was a bit snippy when commenting on how his team played. Let’s take a look at what the Cowboys’ defensive captain said.
What Did Micah Parsons Say After Dallas’ Loss to Philadelphia?
“If you take away the scoreboard, the game would have been close,” he said. The game was tied at 7-7 at the end of the first quarter before the Eagles went on a 34-0 run to leave the Cowboys in the dust.

Cowboys backup quarterback Cooper Rush threw two interceptions, while Eagles running back Saquon Barkley ran for 167 yards. With both teams playing their backup quarterbacks, you’d think the Cowboys might have a chance in this contest. But they didn’t have enough firepower on the offensive side of the ball to compete with the Eagles, and you can look to one man for that: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
While teams like the Baltimore Ravens and Eagles were signing Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley to their rosters, Jones didn’t make a major offseason move to sign more veterans to his team.
Henry had even said he wanted to be a Cowboy, but Jones decided to reunite with Ezekiel Elliott, which has been a disaster. Running back Rico Dowdle has been one of the few bright spots for this team, which lost quarterback Dak Prescott to injury in the middle of the season.
It didn’t matter because Prescott was struggling at the time. Things were starting to look up for the Cowboys, who had won four of these last five games. Nonetheless, the Eagles gave them a reality check.
Dak Prescott Adds His Two Cents
Even Prescott added his two cents about what took place Sunday.
Talking to reporters after the drubbing, Prescott offered a blunt response to fans, “It sucks. It’s frustrating.”
After the Cowboys defeated the Tampa Buccaneers, it looked as if head coach Mike McCarthy may have saved his job. Now, after the way the team played on Sunday, that’s in question again.
You can’t blame McCarthy for everything. The lack of talent and injuries have really hurt this team this year, and that might be enough for Jerry Jones to keep McCarthy on the payroll one more year.
