    Takeaways from Cowboys Injury Report

    • Both CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs were elevated to limited from their DNP yesterday. Lamb is dealing with an ankle injury that he said was sore on Wednesday, and he and the team opted to take it easy for the first day of the week.

Having both back, even if on a limited basis, is a good thing for a Dallas team that needs all of its weapons available this week.

    • All of the veterans who were out yesterday for non-injury reasons (NIR) were back practicing and accounted for on Thursday.

As mentioned yesterday, Dallas likes to take it easy on its established stars and veterans early in the week. Despite many names being on the list on a weekly basis, this will be a common theme for Dallas going forward.

    • For a second day in a row, starting defensive tackle Mazi Smith missed practice with a back injury. Smith tweaked it in the early part of yesterday’s practice and looks to still be bothered by it heading into Friday.

It may be too early to tell what it means for Smith this week, but signs are pointing in the wrong direction for the second-year defensive lineman this week.
