CeeDee Lamb has made his stance clear — he wants the Dallas Cowboys to add offensive firepower for the upcoming season. After restructuring his contract to free up $20 million in cap space, the 25-year-old star wideout called on the front office to add a reliable second receiver to the team.
The Cowboys didn’t sign a receiver in free agency, and with all eyes now on the 2025 NFL Draft, it seems Lamb’s wish may come true. PFSN’s latest mock draft projects Dallas selecting Tetairoa McMillan, one of the draft prospects Lamb has openly praised.

Cowboys Projected to Select Tetairoa McMillan in 2025 NFL Draft
The Cowboys’ passing game struggled last season, ranking 21st in scoring. A lack of reliable weapons beyond Lamb was a key issue. Jalen Tolbert was the team’s second-leading receiver with just 610 yards, while KaVontae Turpin followed with 420 yards.
Thus, Dallas could benefit from adding a dynamic rookie in the 2025 NFL Draft, and Lamb recently stated that he wants a WR2 who can complement him.
“I like a lot of them actually,” Lamb told RG. “There’s a bunch of pieces that stood out. I like T-Mac [Tetairoa McMillan] from Arizona, for one. I like Luther [Burden III] from Missouri. The list could go on. I like Emeka [Egbuka] from Ohio State and Tez Johnson [from Oregon].”
“I’m not really pressed about having whoever. It doesn’t matter, as long as you come here ready to work. I’m excited to teach you, excited to work, and just gradually gravitate towards instilling you in this offense. It’s gonna be fun with whoever,” the Dallas WR added.
This is how you can use Tetairoa McMillan: Isolate and play him to his strengths.

One prospect who could immediately elevate the offense and serve as the perfect WR2 alongside Lamb for Dallas is McMillan, who is projected to be picked 12th overall by the Cowboys in PFSN’s latest seven-round mock draft by Jacob Infante.
“With Jeanty off the board, the Dallas Cowboys shift their focus to another offensive playmaker. CeeDee Lamb hasn’t had a true No. 2 since the team traded Amari Cooper.”
“Tetairoa McMillan is a big receiver with strong hands and ball skills. He’s fluid for his size and creates separation with his physical traits.”
Standing at 6’5″, McMillan is a versatile receiver who can line up outside, in the slot, and even attach at the hip of the tight end, maximizing mismatches against nickel corners and linebackers.
McMillan holds Arizona’s record for most receiving yards by a true freshman with 702. He doubled his production as a sophomore, totaling a remarkable 1,402 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He continued his dominance as a junior, finishing as a Biletnikoff Award finalist after recording 84 receptions for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns.
McMillan has rare ball skills and could thrive as a true WR2 alongside Lamb. His addition would be a big boost to a Cowboys offense that ranked 23rd in PFSN’s Offense+ metric and 28th in passing success rate.
