The 2024 Dallas Cowboys‘ offseason has been described as disappointing and quiet by fans. But there’s another word that could be attached to the franchise: reunion. Does this mean Ezekiel Elliott is on his way back?
Dallas Cowboys News Today
Elliott’s name has surfaced as a strong possibility to fill out the running back room. The former Cowboy has a family member fueling speculation as part of today’s Cowboys news!
Father of Ezekiel Elliott Fuels Reunion Speculation
Elliott himself has kept things rather silent about where his 2024 destination could be. His father on Saturday evening, however, shared a cryptic Facebook post that has many believing Elliott is on his way back.
Stacy Elliott posted a picture of himself holding a football with the Cowboys logo with the caption: “Life is getting really interesting!!!” That prompted Dallas fans to sound off.
“I hope they bring him back!” one fan said under Stacy’s photo.
Others, however, told Stacy, “Don’t toy with my emotions!” But other Cowboys fans shared their hope of seeing “Zeke” return to the franchise.
Regardless, Dallas is in need of a running back with Tony Pollard off to the Tennessee Titans. A three-time Pro Bowl selection with the Cowboys, Zeke remains one of the top options left over. And now, his father just may have given away that a reunion will soon happen.

Cowboys Involved in Johnny Newton Trade? Latest Dallas Mock Drafts
Friday marked a landmark day for PFN: Unveiling the first-ever multi-user mock draft, which now allows up to 10 users to draft against one another with different teams.
The PFN staff gave this new format a run — and Mike Gambardella proposed a blockbuster draft-night trade in the newest seven-round mock. He has Dallas selecting Illinois standout defensive tackle Johnny Newton at No. 31 in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers.
Gambardella cites Newton’s versatility as the inspiration behind his projection. Meanwhile, the 49ers move to No. 24 and nab Brian Thomas Jr. of LSU as part of this deal. Turns out this wasn’t the only projected mock draft trade involving Dallas.
CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson and Rick Spielman made this blockbuster proposal Sunday: Dallas and the Las Vegas Raiders make a deal to trade places. Here, the Cowboys move to No. 13 while the Silver and Black move down to No. 24. And with the 13th pick, Dallas takes offensive tackle help through Penn State’s Olumuyiwa Fashanu.
“Huge trade from the Cowboys! Jerry Jones moves up 11 spots to select Tyron Smith’s replacement. It’s unknown what Dallas would have to pay to make this move, but Rick Spielman loves the fit. ‘You got the second-best left tackle and one of the biggest needs on my offensive line, and maybe on my football team,'” the projection reads.
The Raiders, meanwhile, settle for Washington quarterback and Heisman Trophy finalist Michael Penix Jr. at 24th overall.

Former Ohio State Quarterback Says Cowboys Workout Is Lined Up
Turns out Elliott isn’t the only past Ohio State Buckeyes player linked to the Cowboys.
Former OSU quarterback Kory Curtis, who spent three semesters on the campus before continuing his football career at Bryant and then Gannon University, revealed Sunday on social media that the Cowboys are one of two NFL workouts he has on deck.
Excited to announce two NFL workouts lined up: @dallascowboys tomorrow and @Raiders on Friday! Grateful for the opportunity. #NFL #AGTG #DH7

At Gannon, he racked up 2,879 yards and 27 touchdowns and was picked off just four times in 2022. He was last seen playing football for the West Texas Desert Hawks, a member of the Arena Football League.
