Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb Has Special Message for Safety Donovan Wilson as He Turns 30

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb wished fellow teammate, safety Donovan Wilson, a happy birthday on social media.

Dallas Cowboys superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has acknowledged fellow teammate, safety Donovan Wilson, on his birthday. Lamb took to Instagram to repost a photo from the Cowboys’ official account, which was highlighting Wilson’s birthday. In addition to the repost, Lamb made a short comment outlining his appreciation and respect for Wilson on his big day.

Lamb and Wilson have both spent their entire playing careers with the Cowboys. Lamb was drafted No. 17 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, while Wilson was selected in the sixth round the year prior in 2019. The two men have now been teammates for the past five years, which is a considerable time in the NFL.

    Dallas Cowboys 2025 Outlook

Both Lamb and Wilson are members of a Cowboys team looking to improve on a disappointing season last year. America’s Team finished in third place in the NFC East with a 7-10 record, only one season removed from finishing as the conference’s No. 2 seed when they went 12-5 in 2024.

Despite the poor overall team play, Lamb and Wilson did have good individual seasons.

Lamb, despite sustaining and playing through an AC joint sprain, amassed 101 receptions, 1,194 receiving yards, and six touchdowns on the campaign. Meanwhile, Wilson had 82 total tackles, 44 solo tackles, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception on the year.

Looking forward to next season, the Cowboys will be led by new head coach Brian Schottenheimer following Jerry Jones’ decision to not extend Mike McCarthy. With weaknesses that need to be addressed on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball (namely running back and linebacker), Schottenheimer will need to be smart and active in the 2025 NFL Draft and free agency.

Though it will be difficult, the Cowboys do have the talent to compete in the NFC and will unquestionably lean on both Lamb and Wilson to lead their respective units next season.
