Cooper Kupp’s wife Anna Marie, like many other football fans, was blown away by the team’s performance in the Wild Card round. The Rams made easy work of the Minnesota Vikings, defeating them 27-9.
It was a record-setting game for the Rams while their city suffered from the Palisades fires. Anna Marie provided an uplifting message amid the circumstances, highlighting the Rams’ record-setting victory.
Cooper Kupp’s Wife Is in Awe of the Rams’ Defense
Heading into the game much was made about Vikings QB Sam Darnold. The Rams’ pass-rush game was top-notch, sacking Darnold nine times for 82 yards.
Their physicality and play diagnosis were on point, easily leading them to victory.
Their next opponents, the Philadelphia Eagles, have been put on notice. Anna Marie reflected on the Rams’ performance through her Instagram stories. “This was insane,” she captioned her post.
The Rams became the third team to register nine sacks in a playoff game — the Kansas City Chiefs in 1993 and the Tennessee Titans in 2021 also achieved this feat.
However, the 82 sack yards by the Rams is the most ever in playoff history and the 10th-most in any NFL game.
Kupp’s Future Lies Away From the Rams?
Before the regular season ended, there were rumors that this could be the last season the 2022 Super Bowl winner will wear the Rams jersey. After signing his two-year contract extension in 2022, the team will have a decision to make on Kupp’s future in LA.
This has led several to suggest that Kupp’s time with the Rams is coming to an end. NFL reporter Maurice Moton has suggested that the Washington Commanders could be in play to acquire the services of the 31-year-old in the offseason.
Fans will have to wait and see if Kupp stays. Regardless, Los Angeles hopes for hardware for him and the rest of the squad this season.
