Meet Anna Kupp, Cooper’s High School Sweetheart

Yes, Kupp is married, and his wife is his high school sweetheart, Anna Kupp.

Cooper and Anna started dating in 2012 when they attended different high schools in the Yakima area of Washington. The couple first met at a high school sporting event when Anna presented Cooper with a medal. Like something out of a romantic comedy, Cooper immediately told his family that she was the one.

“I knew that she was the one that I wanted to marry when we had first met back in high school,” Cooper told ESPN. “I told my mom the day I met her, ‘I’m going to marry this girl.'”

During college, the couple maintained a long-distance relationship. Cooper played football at Eastern Washington (where he became arguably the best FCS wide receiver of all time) while Anna attended Arkansas. It was tough, but they made it work.

Despite their long-distance relationship, Cooper and Anna got engaged in 2014. Anna ultimately transferred to Eastern Washington in order to be by Cooper’s side.

Cooper was determined to turn his NFL dream into a reality, and Anna supported him every step of the way. While Cooper focused on pursuing his NFL dream, Anna worked full-time in addition to her studies in order to support the couple.

“Without a doubt, there’s no doubt in my mind, not only would I not be here where I am today without her or accomplishing the things that I would be doing. I really believe I may not be in this — I may not be in the NFL if it wasn’t for her and what she has inspired in me and pushed me to do,” Cooper told ESPN.

When Cooper helped the Rams win Super Bowl LVI and took home Super Bowl MVP honors, Anna was the first person to celebrate with him on the field, jumping into his arms.

In June 2015, the couple got married in Washington in front of more than 400 guests. At the time, they were just sophomores in college.

“We told people, ‘If you want to drink, you need to bring your own alcohol,” Anna recalled. “We’re not trying to be stingy, but at the same time, my dad’s not gonna pay for that.'”

“You’d look out, and we’d see some of our teammates with a six-pack on the wedding table,” Cooper said.

Since they were still in college, some of their relatives questioned why they were getting married at such a young age. After all, Cooper was 22 years old, and Anna was 21. However, they insisted that they had found their soulmate and had no doubts about spending the rest of their lives together.

“We feel so lucky to have found someone that we love and cherish so much so early,” Anna explained to ESPN.

In July 2018, the couple had their first son, Cooper Jameson Kupp. He is nicknamed June (short for junior). In January 2021, a second son arrived, Cypress Stellar Kupp. Then, in June 2023, they had a third son, Solas Reign Kupp.

In addition to raising their family, the Kupps started a new venture in 2024, opening a coffee brand called Dodo Coffee Co. They sell coffee online but also have a brick-and-mortar location in Fayetteville, Ark.

Cooper and Anna also host a podcast together called “Daily Grind,” which features the couple having candid conversations about parenting, Cooper’s NFL career, their company, and much more.

When Anna met Cooper, he wasn’t even playing for a Division I school, so becoming an NFL star probably seemed near impossible. However, she supported Cooper and has now been by his side as the couple’s dreams have become reality.
