Colts Fans Want Anthony Richardson Benched as QB’s Struggles Continue vs. Dolphins – ‘Bring on Joe Flacco,’ ‘He Is Awful’

    Published on

Colts fans are losing hope about Anthony Richardson after the Dolphins game, expressing their desire to see Joe Flacco on the field ASAP.

Anthony Richardson was able to play only four games in his rookie season last year. However, the quarterback is unable to make the most of his opportunities this season as well.

Indianapolis Colts fans want him gone and aren’t afraid to voice their opinions. Richardson’s lackluster performance against the Miami Dolphins made the voices even louder.

Anthony Richardson Fizzes Out Against the Dolphins

By halftime, the 22-year-old QB had less-than-stellar statistics. On the Colts’ home ground of Lucas Oil Stadium, the QB was unable to weave the magic by halftime. “Anthony Richardson at halftime: – 4/13 – 61 Passing Yards – 0 TD – 0 INT – 1 Fumble Lost,” tweeted one fan.

The fans lapped onto this statistic and declared Richardson unfit for their franchise. “Please put Anthony Richardson on the bench. He is awful,” tweeted one fan.

“Dudes getting worse and worse lol,” replied one fan.

“Quite simply the worst starting QB in football. Colts will be drafting a QB this year,” another fan added.

“I’ll say again (and again). He’s a bust. A large bust. He can’t throw the ball,” one fan tweeted.

Several fans wanted the 39-year-old Joe Flacco to take over the starting position from Richardson. “Where is Joe Flacco this kid can’t play,” one fan wrote on X (previously Twitter).

“Put Flacco in, my god,” one fan tweeted.

“Bring on Joe Flacco,” another fan tweeted.

The Colts Win While Anthony Richardson Is Far From His Best

The Colts won 16-10 against the toothless Dolphins playing without their No. 1 QB. Richardson ended the game 10/24 and 129 yards to his name and without a TD. He had his season’s worst completion percentage at 41.7% in this game.

This season, in five games, Richardson’s average completion has been 50.6% for 654 yards and only three touchdowns. At the same time, he has been intercepted on six occasions. Flacco, on the other hand, has a completion rate of 65.7% in three games. He has seven touchdowns and has been intercepted only once.

The Colts will be on the road for their next game against their divisional rivals, the Houston Texans. With each game, Richardson’s chances of retaining the top spot decreases. From the next game onward, Flacco could be the starter for the franchise.
