ACC College Football Games Today – TV Schedule
Syracuse at #1 Clemson – 12 PM ET | ACCN
For some odd reason, Syracuse has always been a problem for Clemson, who is one of the many top 25 teams playing a college football game today. They were actually the last team in the ACC to hand the Tigers a loss back in 2017. Then, in 2018, they gave them another scare. However, that won’t be the case this time around. Syracuse is 1-4 on the year and just got blown out 38-21 by Liberty. This Clemson team is on a warpath and is all but a lock for the national championship at this point. This one won’t even be close.

#23 NC State at #14 North Carolina – 12 PM ET | ESPN
It’s going to be a battle of two top 25 teams in this ACC college football game today. North Carolina and Mac Brown had looked impressive heading into their showdown with Florida State last week. Somehow, they lost that game. Now, we are left wondering if the Tarheels are legit or a smokescreen. They should get back on track here against NC State. Look for the passing game to take advantage of a bad secondary. This one shouldn’t be close either.

Florida St. at Louisville – 12 PM ET | ESPN3
Through three weeks, the Florida State Seminoles have looked like one of the worst teams in the ACC this season, and then they shocked everyone by beating North Carolina last week. On the other hand, Louisville has dropped four straight games and is coming off a low-scoring 12-7 loss to Notre Dame. The Seminoles will be coming in high after their win, but the hangover will be too much, and Louisville should bring them back down to earth in this ACC college football game today.

#3 Notre Dame at Pittsburgh – 3:30 PM ET | ABC
I don’t think the team that scored 12 points last week is the real version of the Notre Dame squad. They were off in Week 7, and the passing attack didn’t work. Pittsburgh has an impressive defense, but I expect Notre Dame to put up enough points to get the win in this ACC college football game today, which features a top 25 team.

#19 Virginia Tech at Wake Forest – 3:30 PM ET | ESPN3
Wake Forest is finally back after not playing for nearly a month and their reward is an ACC game against a top 25 college football team today. Both these teams have impressive offensive weapons, and we should be in for some fireworks here. Virginia Tech will want to try and score some points early to force Wake into making mistakes. If Wake can get their offense clicking, it might be a long day for this Virginia Tech defense.

Georgia Tech at Boston College – 4 PM ET | ACCN
This is an interesting matchup, with these teams being opposites. Georgia Tech is great on the ground with an impressive rushing attack, whereas Boston College has struggled running the ball but can throw all over the field. Hopefully, Georgia Tech can get over that 73-7 loss to Clemson quick enough to compete with Boston College. This ACC college football game today should be fun.

Virginia at #11 Miami – 8 PM ET | ACCN
Virginia has struggled defensively so far this season, and that can be an issue against D’Eriq King and this Miami offense. However, their offense has been clicking, with over 400 yards of offense in all four games this season. This is going to be a shootout, but I can’t go against King right now. He will be a problem for Virginia’s struggling offense in this ACC college football game today.

Auburn at Ole Miss – 12 PM ET | SECN
Both of these teams have issues right now, and it looks like Ole Miss has decided not to play defense. Luckily for them, the offense has an average of well over 500 yards per game with a balanced attack that can do anything at this point. This game will come down to Auburn’s defense and whether or not they can keep up with Lane Kiffin’s offense. Expect a lot of points in this SEC college football game today.

#2 Alabama at Tennessee – 3:30 PM ET | CBS
Alabama – ranked second in the top 25 – will be going against Tennessee in this college football game today. It’s a huge step down in competition compared to their matchup against Georgia last week. These teams are heading in opposite directions, with Alabama getting better and the Vols unraveling. The Crimson Tide have actually won 13 straight against Tennessee, and this will be #14.

Kentucky at Missouri – 4 PM ET | SECN
This one is tough because Missouri was supposed to be playing Florida this week. Unfortunately, because of the current health situation, that game was moved, and now they will be playing Kentucky in this SEC college football game today. A last-minute shift in their gameplan might prove to be too much to overcome. Missouri just had a week off, but the Wildcats defense will prove to be too much.

South Carolina at LSU – 7 PM ET | ESPN
LSU is coming off of a legendary season in which they won the national championship. Regression was expected as a plethora of their players were signed to NFL rosters. South Carolina is going to surprise everyone and get the win on the road as touchdown underdogs in this SEC college football game today.

Big Ten Games Today – TV Schedule
Nebraska at #5 Ohio St. – 12 PM ET | FOX
When these two teams faced off last season, Ohio State won 48-7. I don’t think it will be much different in 2020. In this Big Ten college football game today, Nebraska’s defense will struggle to contain Justin Fields, especially considering Ohio State has arguably the best offensive line in the country. The first quarter might start slow, with both teams shaking off some rust, but I expect Ohio State – number five in the top 25 team rankings – to explode in the second quarter and put this game away handily.

Rutgers at Michigan St. – 12 PM ET | BTN
Rutgers and new head coach Greg Schiano will be up for quite that challenge against Michigan State. Both these teams should look different compared to last season, with new head coaches and schemes in place. It won’t be a fun game to watch, but Michigan State’s defense should do the same thing last year and shut down this Rutgers team in this Big Ten college football game today.

#8 Penn State at Indiana – 3:30 PM ET | FS1
This might be one of the more interesting college football games today. There are legitimate questions about how the Nittany Lions will adjust to a new offensive coordinator without spring practice. Indiana is an up and coming team, who should provide enough of a challenge for a Penn State team that will need time to gel together.

Iowa at Purdue – 3:30 PM ET | BTN
This Purdue team will be facing several questions heading into their season opener. Their head coach Jeff Brohm is likely not going to attend the game, and we still aren’t sure who their starting QB is. Both teams should put up points with Purdue transitioning to a new defensive scheme and Iowa not having many defensive playmakers on their side of the ball after. Iowa has a new QB under center in Spencer Petras but should rely on their strong run game in this Big Ten college football game today.

#18 Michigan at #21 Minnesota – 7:30 PM ET | ABC
The matchup to watch in this top 25 Big Ten college football game today will be QB Tanner Morgan and NFL Draft Prospect WR Rashod Bateman. The pair should be able to take advantage of this Michigan defense, even though it is one of the best in the nation. Michigan will need time to gel on offense, breaking in new starting quarterback Joe Milton, four new starting offensive linemen, and a few new receivers with five of the top seven receivers from last year gone.

Maryland at Northwestern – 7:30 PM ET | BTN
Northwestern comes into this Big Ten college football game today after a terrible season in 2019. The Wildcats were not themselves last year, ranking 126th in the nation in scoring at 16 points per game. It was one of the worst seasons they have had under coach Pat Fitzgerald. I think they bounce back this year, and it starts with the dismantling of this Maryland team. Yes, Maryland has Josh Jackson returning, but he has only one returning lineman in front of him.

Big 12 College Football Games Today – TV Schedule
Kansas at Kansas St. #20 – 12 PM ET | FS1
This Big 12 college football game today between Kansas and Kansas State is not going to be competitive. Kansas State is by far and away from the better team here, and it shows with them being favored by nearly three touchdowns. They shouldn’t have a problem against a Kansas team lacking weapons on both sides of the ball.

Oklahoma at TCU – 12 PM ET | ABC
Oklahoma has quite the rocky start to the season and could have started 1-3 if they were not held on against Texas in overtime last week. Luckily for them, they are still the Big 12 leader in passing, passing efficiency, and time of possession. Time of possession will be important against this TCU team that can put up points at will. Expect another shootout in this Big 12 college football game today, with the Sooners once again barely coming out on top.

#17 Iowa St. at #6 Oklahoma St. – 3:30 PM ET | FOX
In this Big 12 college football game today (TV: FOX) between Iowa State and Oklahoma, it’s a battle of two teams in the top 25. Oklahoma State is coming off three weeks of not playing football. Meanwhile, Iowa State has been busy with wins over Texas Tech, TCU, and Oklahoma. The Cyclones have a strong run defense that should cause issues for Chuba Hubbard, who has struggled so far this season. This should be a close game, but I like Iowa State here to win on the road.

Baylor at Texas – 3:30 PM ET | ESPN
Baylor is coming off three weeks of rest and will have their hands full with this Texas offense in this Big 12 college football game today. As much as Baylor has been a fun story, Texas is in another class. There will be fireworks, often the case with Big 12 football, but Texas should come out on top.

West Virginia at Texas Tech – 5:30 PM ET | ESPN2
Texas Tech’s defense has been downright awful. That is not a winning recipe when going against West Virginia and their balanced offense. We will see junior quarterback from Florida Henry Colombi here in this Big 12 college football game today. He has been impressive, hitting 74% of his passes for 359 yards and three scores. He should be able to do whatever he wants in this game against an awful defense.

AAC Games Today – TV Schedule
Temple at Memphis – 12 PM ET | ESPN+
Memphis is coming into this AAC college football game today after an insane 50-49 win over rival UCF. Unfortunately for Memphis, they lost their best wide receiver in Damonte Coxie. Coxie had 16 catches for 175 yards and a touchdown in the first two games of the season and is a two-time All-AAC second team member. Temple is also coming off a big comeback win last week. Senior quarterback Anthony Russo is playing well and completing 70.8 percent of his passes this season. Temple should keep this one close.

Tulane at UCF – 2 PM ET | ESPN2
UCF should come into this Big 12 college football game today with a chip on their shoulder after their loss last week. The team hasn’t lost three games in a row since the end of the 2016 season. Both these teams have the offensive firepower to put up points. UCF’s run defense has been terrible, and that’s not what you want when going up against Tulane. UCF should still be able to come away with the win, but it’ll be closer than people think.

Houston at Navy – 3:30 PM ET | CBSSN
This will be a battle of two very different offenses, with Navy running the triple option and Houston employing more of a balanced attack. Houston has played in just two games this season, an impressive win against Tulane and a loss to BYU. Navy has struggled, producing just 271.6 yards per game (73rd) and 190.6 rushing yards. The defense is allowing 428.4 total yards per game, mostly on the ground. Navy will try to limit Houston’s possesions and slow the game down, but won’t have enough offensively to win this Big 12 college football game today.

#9 Cincinnati at #16 SMU – 9 PM ET | ESPN2
This top 25 college football game today should be another fun, high-scoring affair. SMU’s offense has been unbelievable. The Mustangs threw for over 700 yards in the first two games and then went off against Tulane and Memphis for well over 400 yards against each one. Cincinnati’s defense is a step up in class, but I don’t see them stopping SMU.

Conference USA Games Today – TV Schedule
UTEP at Charlotte – 12 PM ET | ESPN+
UTEP has ridden their defense to three straight wins, but none of them against FBS opponents. Charlotte’s offense has been good and should put up enough points to win this college football game today. If UTEP falls behind early, there is no chance for a comeback.

Southern Mississippi at Liberty – 1 PM ET | ESPN3
Southern Miss hasn’t played in a while and will now be coming up against a 5-0 Liberty team. Southern Miss will also be without their head coach. Liberty will continue to roll, and this Conference USA college football game today won’t be close.

Florida Atlantic at #22 Marshall – 2:30 PM ET
Marshall is ranked No. 22 in the top 25 with a record of 4-0 and in this college football game today, they will take on Florida Atlantic. FAU has only played one game this season and barely got the win over Charlotte. Marshall has the third-best defense in the nation right now, allowing only 9.5 points per game. If Marshall wants to continue to be ranked, they will need to win this one.

Middle Tennessee at Rice – 3:30 PM ET | ESPN3
I don’t have much to say about this college football game today, which will be on TV channel ESPN3. Rice is going to run the ball, a lot. If Middle Tennessee can get enough possessions, they could win. The big question will be, how many minutes will they have the ball? Less than 20?

Chattanooga at Western Kentucky – 4 PM ET | ESPN3
Chattanooga has a terrible run defense. Western Kentucky likes to run the ball and have a more efficient offense. Not many people will be watching this college football game today in Conference USA, but I expect WKY to come away with the win here.

Louisiana Tech at UTSA – 8 PM ET | ESPNU
Louisiana Tech has allowed more than 390 yards in three of its five games. UTSA has lost its last three games after a 3-0 start. UTSA has the better offense and should be able to win this college football game today, which will be broadcast on ESPNU.

Mountain West Games Today – TV Schedule
Utah St. at Boise St. – 7 PM ET | FS1
Boise State has won 20 straight conference openers and has owned the series against Utah State for 20 years. The Aggies last won a road game against Boise State back in 1996. Running back George Holani should dominate this game and continue his success from last year, racking up 1,014 and seven touchdowns on the ground.

Wyoming at Nevada – 7 PM ET | CBSSN
This Mountain West college football game today should be a low scoring, defensive affair. Wyoming will run the ball, slow the game down, and rely on the defense.

For those that want scoring, this should be the college football game to watch today. The Rainbow Warriors enter the 2020 season with a new head coach, Todd Graham. Hawai’i had the fifth-best passing yards in the country at the end of 2019, averaging 337.1 yards per game. In terms of total offensive yards, they ranked 13th in the nation with 471.0 yards per game. Both these teams focus on offense over defense.

UNLV will come into this college football game today, hoping for some more offense with new head coach Marcus Arroyo. San Diego State should continue to have an impressive defensive front, and with new quarterback Carson Baker, could see some more of an up-tempo offense.

Although each of the three military academies is known for running option offenses, they are not all the same. Air Force tends to pass the ball more often than Army or Navy. San Jose State showed signs of improving last year and should mature into legitimate threats in the Mountain West.

Georgia Southern at #25 Coastal Carolina – 12 PM ET | ESPNU
Georgia Southern and their option attack will be something this ranked Coastal Carolina team has yet to see this season. But it won’t be enough against Coastal Carolina and their offense that is firing on all cylinders right now.

Georgia St. at Troy – 4 PM ET | ESPNU
Troy has gotten some good wins this season, but not against any teams that can be considered quality. Georgia State comes into this college football game today with one of the most consistent offenses in the nation, rushing for 739 yards and throwing for 748.

UL-Monroe at South Alabama – 7 PM ET | ESPN+
South Alabama has been respectable defensively, allowing just 144.8 rushing yards per game to rank 33rd, and they’re 35th with 27.5 points per game. On the other hand, ULM has posted just 292.2 total yards per game to rank 71st in the country, and they’re 76th overall with just 56.2 rushing yards per game and 75th with 13.4 points per outing.
