College football continues rattling off ranked matchups, and the DFS picks continue elevating their play. Six ranked matchups headline Week 7, and many highlight explosive playmakers.
We’re also seeing rivalry games like North Carolina-Duke and Clemson-Florida State, which could turn out to be must-see television. Let’s take a look at our daily fantasy picks for this week.
Week 7 College Football DFS Picks
Once again, FanDuel gives you a lineup budget of $60,000 each week. Let’s take a look at my top college football DFS picks for Week 7.
QB: Jaren Hall, BYU ($10,100)
One thing Arkansas continues to struggle with is stopping the pass. Until they find a way to improve in that area, the quarterbacks and receivers they face remain good options for your DFS lineups. After a tough week against Notre Dame, Jaren Hall looks to bounce back.
Averaging 20.4 fantasy points per game, Hall and the Cougars look to stun an SEC team with some flaws. As long as Hall’s receivers stay healthy, this passing attack shouldn’t have much trouble finding success.
Others to consider:
- Drake Maye, North Carolina ($12,000)
- Max Duggan, TCU ($11,000)
- Jason Bean, Kansas ($9,900)
- Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss ($9,700)
RB1: Raheim Sanders, Arkansas ($9,600)
BYU’s not without fault, either. Raheim Sanders currently averages 20.7 fantasy points per game, and the Arkansas offense looks to bounce back and snap a two-game losing streak.
One of the biggest risers in terms of 2023 NFL Draft prospects, Sanders continues commanding attention from everyone he faces, and BYU is in for the toughest test of their season when they face him.
RB2: Tavion Thomas, Utah ($7,500)
Despite the loss to UCLA, Tavion Thomas might have woken up. After a great 2021 season, we haven’t seen him thrive as much as we expected this season. Last week might have been the spark he needed, and a big game against USC allows him to make a statement.
Utah’s a better team when Thomas succeeds. In fact, the Utes are 7-1 when he rushes for 100 yards or more. A tough, downhill runner, Thomas faces a USC defense that has plenty to prove. Fortunately, we’ve seen what the ceiling looks like.
Others to consider:
- Bijan Robinson, Texas ($10,500)
- Jahmyr Gibbs, Alabama ($9,500)
- Blake Corum, Michigan ($9,000)
- Tavion Thomas, Utah ($7,500)
- Trevor Etienne, Florida ($5,800)
WR1: Quentin Johnston, TCU ($8,700)
We all waited for the Quentin Johnston breakout game, and we finally got one. A 14-catch, 206-yard game against Kansas put him back on the map, and it reminded everyone just how well he can play.
For those wondering about his value as a college football DFS pick, here’s some good news. When Johnston breaks 100 yards receiving, he typically follows that first good game with another.
WR2: Johnny Wilson, Florida State ($6,400)
Clemson’s biggest struggle this year has been stopping big-body receivers. At 6’7″, Wilson presents their biggest challenge this season. While the Tigers’ offense continues taking strides, there are concerns about the secondary.
Johnny Wilson’s been a nice surprise for the Seminoles this year, averaging 19.9 yards per game. If Clemson can’t find an answer quickly, Florida State might hang around long enough to make things interesting.
WR3: Bru McCoy, Tennessee ($7,200)
With Cedric Tillman out, Hendon Hooker needs a new go-to weapon. Enter Bru McCoy, who’s been on a tear lately. His last two games produced 12 catches for 242 yards and a touchdown. Tennessee needs that kind of production when they face the Tide this weekend, as McCoy will play a huge role in their success.
If an upset’s Bru-ing in Knoxville, it’s because the passing attack continues its explosive ways against an Alabama secondary that’s shown signs of weakness. Jalin Hyatt also plays a big role in opening up the offense this week, but signs point towards the 6’3″, 220-pound former five-star recruit proving his worth to the college football world.
Others to consider:
- Josh Downs, North Carolina ($10,000)
- Xavier Hutchinson, Iowa State ($9,200)
- Jalin Hyatt, Tennessee ($8,000)
- Tayvion Robinson, Kentucky ($6,800)
Superflex: Riley Leonard, QB, Duke ($10,000)
A hot start preceded a couple tough games for Riley Leonard, but he gets a chance to get back on track. Duke and North Carolina clash this weekend, and Leonard looks to attack a North Carolina defense that’s struggled against the pass.
Teams are averaging 297.5 yards per game through the air against the Tar Heels, and that’s promising for Leonard and the Blue Devils’ offense.
