College Football DFS Picks Week 6: Quinn Ewers Returns for Red River Shootout

If you're looking for some great college football DFS picks for Week 6, Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns are looking ideal.

It’s accountability time. Our college football DFS picks last week struggled more than Russell Wilson near the goal line. Dillon Gabriel got hurt, CJ Donaldson got hurt, and Mo Ibrahim didn’t even play. But have no fear! We’re bouncing back like Average Joe’s Gym after they lost to Troop 417.

Week 6 College Football DFS Picks

Once again, FanDuel gives you a lineup budget of $60,000 each week. Let’s take a look at my top college football DFS picks for Week 6.

    QB: Caleb Williams, USC ($10,700)

No offense to Bo Nix, but if he can put up 30.12 fantasy points against Washington State, imagine what Caleb Williams can do. The Trojans signal-caller is averaging 26.9 fantasy points per game this year, and he’s facing a team that struggles to defend the pass. USC’s offense hasn’t had much trouble moving the ball this year either, so Williams appears to be a solid DFS pick in Week 6 of college football.

    Others to consider:
    Drake Maye, North Carolina ($11,800)
    Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State ($11,200)
    Will Rogers, Mississippi State ($10,400)
    Max Duggan, TCU ($10,100)
    D.J. Uiagalelei, Clemson ($9,800)

    RB1: Bijan Robinson, Texas ($10,700)

A big reason for the Texas love this week in our college football DFS picks is the return of Quinn Ewers. We’ve been talking about what Texas could have done if he didn’t get hurt against Alabama, and now he can remind us. The biggest beneficiary of Ewers’ return remains Bijan Robinson.

Don’t get me wrong, Robinson hasn’t struggled to produce in Ewers’ absence. He’s averaging 24.9 fantasy points per game. With the passing game opening up, that means Robinson should see more field and fewer defenders in the box. Texas’ offense still revolves around him, and Oklahoma could be in trouble.

    RB2: Devin Neal, Kansas ($6,100)

Daniel Hishaw Jr. was a hot commodity coming into this week, but his injury won’t allow him to play against TCU. Plus, with TCU most likely focused on slowing down Jalon Daniels, Devin Neal becomes an extremely important piece to the Kansas offense.

He’s already the leading rusher for the Jayhawks and is averaging 6.8 yards per carry, but now he figures to see more touches given recent events. TCU presents a new challenge the Jayhawks haven’t faced yet, so the offense better be ready for a shootout.

    Others to consider:
    Kendre Miller, TCU ($9,100)
    Miyan Williams, Ohio State ($8,700)
    Jahmyr Gibbs, Alabama ($8,600)

    WR1: Jordan Addison, USC ($9,300)

See: Caleb Williams. Washington State hasn’t faced a player who matches the caliber of Jordan Addison. USC’s top pass catcher remains one of the toughest players to guard, and he makes life easy for Caleb Williams. His fantasy numbers aren’t top-tier, but this is a game where he can break out against a porous pass defense.

    WR2: Xavier Worthy, Texas ($7,900)

Last year, against Oklahoma, Xavier Worthy caught nine passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns. The Sooners are on the ropes thanks to two consecutive losses and could be in trouble against a rival. With Quinn Ewers out, Worthy stepped up to give Hudson Card a reliable and dangerous weapon, and now the return of Ewers should help his stock in the fantasy world.

    WR3: Savion Williams, TCU ($6,300)

TCU’s offense has reached new heights under Sonny Dykes, but it’s been tough to determine the player that will break out. Taye Barber, Derius Davis, and Savion Williams have all stepped up with teams focusing on Quentin Johnston, and Williams is the pick to fit the budget this week. He hasn’t had a breakout game yet, but anyone can have one in this offense.

    Others to consider:
    Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State ($10,000)
    Josh Downs, North Carolina ($9,900)
    Brock Bowers, Georgia ($8,500)
    Mario Williams, USC ($6,600)

Superflex: Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas ($9,000)

Quinn Ewers’ return to Texas has sparked plenty of excitement within the program. Many believe he was the missing link to the Longhorns’ woes so far this year. While we felt robbed of the thrill earlier this year, we get a chance to watch him lead an offense loaded with talent.

We’ll see if that’s the case, but Texas needs a spark, and Ewers provides the potential. With Bijan Robinson and Xavier Worthy carrying the offense, adding another weapon gives them someone else to take the pressure away. “All gas, no brakes” takes on a new meaning when the driver gives you more roads to take.
